Chapter 31:
ONE WEEK AND A HALF LATER...........................
I lied there in my bed curled up in a ball, covers over my head, and my face buried in my tear soaked pillow.
I was sad, and in pain, (not because of my leg... my leg was already healed by then) but who wouldn't be sad and in pain after such a horrible breakup like I had?
It wasn't just any break up either, because I loved him.
Really I did, and he left me because he wasn't man enough to deal with his problems instead of running away from them.
Crying and screaming, and listening to "I will always love you" and singing along with tears in my eyes, and then crying some more, then sleeping.
I hated him, but then I loved him, then I missed him, then I didn't, it was a very emotional time for me.
My mother gently knocked on my bedroom door snapping me out of my thoughts and I invited her inside.
"Hi." I glumly said coming out from under the blankets.
I wiped my tears away and sat up.
My mother came over and sat at the end of my bed.
She put her hand on my knee and looked at me sympathetically.
It was then that I started crying again.
"I miss him mommy." I cried out leaning in for a hug.
"Aww, sweetheart, I know, I know, shhh, it's ok." She said hugging me tightly.
"I love him." I added, squeezing her tighter.
She rubbed my back.
"I know." She whispered.
Then my phone started ringing.
I picked it up and looked at the face of the phone.
"UnKnown number!" It said.
I looked up at my mother hopefully.
I had been hoping it was Mason.
Answering the phone and putting it to my ear I inhaled and exhaled softly.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Nadine, I love you so much, I'm so sorry I ever left, I'm coming back, I can't live without you baby."
I just sat there in shock for a minute or two.
I just couldn't believe it was him.
"Where are you?" I asked.
"I'm at the Delta Blue police station." He replied.
"You're telling them what happened?" I asked in a yell.
I was proud of him but at the same time I was scared, so scared.
"Don't tell them anything until I get there, I want to help you tell them what happened." I said. "We'll talk to the Sherriff together."
"Nadine, but I-"
"Please, Mason?" I asked.
"Ok." He answered.
I let out a relived sigh and he hung up.
"He's at the Delta Blue Police Station."
Looking at my mother I smiled a little.
"He's ok." I said crying.
"I'll drive you." My mother said just out of nowhere without any questions asked.
