Chapter 19:
I sat there impatiently waiting to arrive to the surprise place. My leg was shaking rapidly.
I was excited, nervous, and happy, all at the same time.
"We're almost there." He said after about 3 minutes of silence.
"Really?" I asked excitedly sitting up straighter in my seat.
"You really are excited aren't you?" He asked chuckling.
I'm guessing he had seen me fidgeting.
I smiled widely over at where I thought he was.
"Yeah, of course!" I said as we both started laughing.
"We're here you can-"
I started quickly ripping the blindfold off before he even finished talking.
He looked over at me and burst out laughing, not even bothering to finish his sentence.
I gasped at what I saw when I looked out the dashboard glass.
It was a restaurant called Per Se, it looked very fancy.
"Wow." I said smiling.
"Yeah it took me a while to get reservations for this place." He said as he held his arm out so I could link my arm with his.
He walked me to the door and opened it for me.
"After you." He said with a smirk.
I let go of his arm and walked through before thanking him.
I looked down at my clothes remembering what I was wearing and was embarrassed as I gulped loudly.
"I can't go in there!" I said rubbing my shirt to try and fix the little wrinkles that were there.
"It's alright." He said. "Just come on." He told me taking my hand gently.
"I'm sorry Mason I can't go in there looking like this! I thought you were taking me to a movie or something!" I exclaimed loudly.
"Calm down." He told me gently.
"Don't you trust me?" He asked smiling.
"I do trust you, I just-"
He didn't let me finish, he interrupted by saying, "Well, then believe me when I say you can wear what your wearing it's fine." He said grabbing a hold of my hand again.
This time he wouldn't let me pull away.
"Just come on." He pulled me towards the doorway.
"No, Mason!" I said as he pulled me towards the doorway even more, against my will.
I stopped fighting him when I saw the whole inside of the restaurant from the doorway.
It was empty; there was no one there at all.
"I rented it for tonight." He said.
I was mad at Mason, he should've told me that!
"You should have said that before!" I yelled slapping him on the arm.
He shook his head quickly.
"It was a surprise. If I had told you I rented it out for tonight you would've known the surprise. That's why I didn't tell you." He said.
I smiled, embarrassed that I didn't just go into the room, he had to pull me in there, literally.
I chuckled. "Well next time to save you and me the aggravation just tell me when we get here that you rented it out."
