Chapter 32:

We didn't get much from the cops after that; we did tell them that we were just defending ourselves.

So we were both hoping that they wouldn't arrest Mason for beating up that guy and stealing his car.

We were both so nervous.

One week later....

We walked into court together and my mother, father and I found our way to our seats.

Mason was at a desk with a very attractive young lawyer named Elaine Berry.

She leaned in by him and her long curly dark red hair was on one shoulder as she whispered something in his ear.

Sitting there with my clenched fists and clenched jaw, I watched as Mason looked her up and down as she stood up.

I wasn't normally the jealous type but this made me very jealous.

She was very big in the chest and her waist was tiny, her hips were curvy and she had Jennifer Lopez's tan muscular legs.

My mother looked over at me and her eyes widened.

"Hunny, calm down." She whispered.

"I can't, my boyfriend is checking her out." I said angrily.

"Maybe he doesn't think you guys are back together." My mother whispered.

My father looked over angrily.

All of us had a talk after Mason had left that my father was ok with us dating as long as we didn't DO anything, I was still grounded but I wasn't supposed to make out with him, or do the dirty.

Which even though I had already been making out with him before my father told me not too, I hadn't slept with Mason, at least not yet. What I mean by not yet was I really felt like I was going to get married to Mason, and I always wanted to save my virginity for after marriage.

I stopped clenching my fist and my jaw and looked over at my mother confused.

"But we kissed in the back of the Sheriff's car!" I screamed.

Mason, the judge, my father and my mother, the guy Mason beat up, the audience, Elaine, and the other lawyer looked back at me.

I gulped and then ran out of the court room.

My mother and father followed of course.

"I can't believe you just did that Nadine!" My mother whispered loudly.

I was already blushing! I was so EMBARRASED!!!

"I need a minute." I said.

They put their hands up confused and then slapped them down by their sides.

Walking out of the court house I took a deep breath and straightened out my hair and the wrinkle in my grey floor length dress.

After calming down I walked back into the court room and sat down by my parents again.

"You ok now?" My father whispered.

I shrugged and crossing my arms I watched the hot lawyer prance around and plea for Mason to be innocent.

A couple hours later Mason, my father, my mother, and I walked out of the court together.

I smiled at Mason, but I couldn't stop thinking about the lawyer Mason was checking out.

"This is great, we should celebrate!" My mother said smiling.

So we went out to Dave and Busters.
