Madison's pov (July 4th, 2018)
It was the fourth of july and Olivia's parents were having a barbeque that me, my dad, and Liam were going to. We're gonna go swimming, eat, and then once it gets dark enough we're gonna do fireworks in the front yard.
I walked into Olivia's backyard with a tray of cupcakes in my hand. I noticed Ron standing by the grill, Liv laying down on a towel by the pool, and I'm guessing Sofia was inside.
Dad soon joined Ron by the grill and Liam went straight to jumping in the pool. I went inside and placed the cupcakes down on the counter in the kitchen.
I walked back outside and went over to Olivia. "Hey."
"Hi." Liv replied.
I took off my shirt, revealing my bikini top, and threw it over onto the chair where Olivia's stuff was. "You getting your tan on?"
Olivia chuckled as she stood up. "I am."
I wrapped my arms around her waist as she wrapped her arms around my neck. We hugged for a few seconds before pulling away and I leaned in to kiss her.
The second our lips touched, we got splashed with water. I quickly pulled away from Liv and we looked over to see Liam pointing an empty water gun at us.
"Dude." I said.
"I don't want to see you guys kissing. It's gross." Liam told us.
Olivia let out a small chuckle as I just rolled my eyes.
When Iris, Conan, Jenna, and Ellie arrived at the pool party, we all got in the water. We hung out a bit and then played a giant game of marco polo.
We all scattered around the pool as Conan stood in the middle with his eyes closed and his arms out.
"Marco." Conan said.
"Polo." We all said at the same time.
"Bro, this is gonna be impossible. I heard voices from all around me." Conan chuckled. "Marco."
I quietly scooted passed Conan. "Polo."
Conan quickly turned around, swinging his arm. I duck and quickly made my way passed him without him catching me.
I walked over to Olivia who was standing on the other side of the pool. She held out her hand for me and I took it.
"Hm. Liv and Madison are probably gonna be together which means they'll be an easier target." Conan thought out loud. "Marco."
"Polo."
"Liv, we gotta split up." I whispered to her.
"No. We're fine." She told me with a small smile.
Conan started to make his way over to where Liv and I were. She started to walk away from him, pulling me along. Conan jumped forward, touching Liv and I.
"Yes!" He cheered.
"I told you we should have split up." I said to Liv.
"My bad." Olivia chuckled.
"Go into that corner." Conan pointed to the left corner at the shallow end of the pool.
Liv and I walked over to the shallow end of the pool, waiting for Conan to get Ellie, Jenna, and Iris out. I leaned against the edge of the pool with Olivia standing in front of me.
She placed her hands on my shoulders and I wrapped my arms around her waist. She leaned her front against mine as she looked into my eyes.
"Hey." I smiled.
