Madison's pov (February 20th, 2019)
I walked up to Olivia's front door, knocking on it. I waited a few seconds before Olivia's dad opened up the door.
"Hey, Ron."
"Hi, Madison. Olivia is still getting ready." He told me.
"Oh, that's okay. I can wait. I'm a little early anyways." I said, stepping into the house and going to wait in the living room.
"What's the guitar for?" Ron asked me, referring to the guitar case that rested on my back.
"It's a surprise birthday present for Liv. I wrote her a song." I smiled.
"I'm ready." Olivia announced as she came down the stairs.
I looked at her, my smile getting bigger as I walked over to her. "Hey, pretty girl. Ready to go?"
"Yup." Liv smiled at me before she leaned up and kissed my cheek. "What's the guitar for?"
"A little surprise for later." I said before looking at Olivia's dad. "I'll have her back by 9:30."
Ron chuckled. "It's okay. Keep her out as long as you want. You know we trust you."
"Come on." Liv took my hand, pulling me out the house and over to my truck.
I opened up the passenger door and gently held her hand to help her in the truck. After she was buckled up, I shut the door and put my guitar in the back seat before getting in the driver's seat.
"So... birthday dinner and ice cream at our spot?" I suggested.
"Only if we're eating Italian." Olivia replied.
I looked at her with a small smile as I reached into the back seat and lifted up the take out bag from her favorite Italian restaurant. "Way ahead of you, baby."
"You're amazing." Liv smiled at me.
"I know my girl." I replied before leaning in and pecking her lips.
I drove over to Liv and I's spot, parking by the trail and getting out. I opened up the door for Olivia and helped her out before opening up the back door. I grabbed the takeout bag and my guitar case before Olivia and I started our little hike.
I laid out a little blanket on the ground and Olivia and I sat down next to each other, Liv on my left. I set down the bag in between us and my guitar case on my right.
"Alright." I reached into the bag and pulled out Liv's meal. "Your favorite meal."
"It smells so good." Olivia said as she took it from me.
"I hope it tastes as good as it smells. It's probably cold and like half an hour old." I chuckled. "I want your birthday to be perfect."
"It's okay. I'm sitting here with you so it's already perfect." Olivia looked at me.
I smiled at her. "I love you."
"I love you more, baby."
After Liv and I ate our dinner and the ice cream I had in a little cooler, I laid down and rested my head in her lap. Olivia ran her fingers through my hair as we had a light conversation, talking about random things.
"You having a good birthday, Livie?" I asked her.
"I'm having the best birthday." She smiled as she looked into my eyes. "You make every day the best."
"You think we're gonna be together forever?" I wondered.
"I hope so. As long as you're in my life, I'll be the happiest girl ever. Whether it's as my lover or as my best friend, I want you in my life forever." Olivia told me.
"I'm in your life as your girlfriend, right now, but, in ten years I'll be in your life as your wife." I said.
Olivia let out a small giggle. "I'm not opposed to that."
"Neither am I." I responded before holding up my pinky. "Promise you'll marry me one day?"
Liv smiled as she hooked her pinky with mine. "I promise I'll marry you one day."
I looked into her eyes for a few seconds before sitting up. "Alright. You want your birthday surprise now?"
"Yes!" Olivia beamed. "I love surprises."
"Okay." I chuckled before I opened up my guitar case and took out my guitar resting, it in my lap. "So... I had a class assignment where I had to write a song about someone who had an impact on my life. And I chose to write about you. It's called Now and Forever. I hope you like it."
Liv's face softened as a small smile formed on her lips. I let out a breath before looking down and starting to play.
"Now and forever I'll be your girl." I finished the song.
I set my guitar back in the case and closed it up before looking at Liv. She immediately hugged me, wrapping her arms around my neck and burying her face in my collar bone. I smiled as I wrapped my arms around her waist, hugging her back.
"That was amazing. I loved it so much." Olivia softly said.
"Really?" I asked.
"Mhm. You might have to sing it again so that I can record it and watch it over and over and over again." Olivia told me.
"I'm okay with that, baby." I let out a small chuckle.
I parked my truck in my driveway before walking Liv over to her house. She opened up the door before turning to face me.
"I had a really great day today. Thank you for everything." She thanked me.
"Of course. Anything to make you happy, birthday girl." I replied.
"What about a birthday kiss?" She asked with a small smirk.
She didn't even let me respond before she lightly grabbed the collar of my shirt and pulled me in for a kiss. I placed my hands on her hips, kissing her back. Her lips moved against mine and I smiled into the kiss.
Olivia pulled away after a few seconds. "Want to come in? My parents might still be awake but..." She trailed her hand down to the hem of my jeans. "We won't be too loud."
"Can you stay quiet?" I smirked.
"Shut the fuck up." She softly said before hooking her finger in my belt loop and pulling me into her house.
