Madison's pov (December 1st, 2018)

I adjusted my backpack strap on my shoulder as I made my way to Olivia's locker. Today was a really special day for the both of us. It was our one year anniversary.

"Hey, Madison. Good luck on the championship game on Friday." A guy said to me as he walked passed me, holding out his fist.

"Thanks." I fist bumped him.

I don't even know who that kid was. Ever since I started winning football games for our teams and got us to the championships for the first time in 17 years, my popularity has gone up a lot. People I don't even know talk to me and say hi to me in the halls.

I walked over to Olivia who was standing at her locker and having a conversation with Jenna, Conan, Iris and Ellie. I walked up behind Olivia and wrapped my arms around her waist, hugging her from behind.

"Happy one year, my love." I softly said in her ear before placing a kiss on her neck.

"Madi!" Olivia smiled as she turned around in my arms, wrapping her arms around my neck and kissing me.

"Hi, baby." I smiled once she pulled away.

"I missed you." She told me.

"I missed you too." I replied before kissing her again.

"I can't believe you guys used to hate each other." Conan thought out loud.

"Neither can I." Liv said, not taking her eyes off of me.

"Now we're just helplessly in love with each other." I added on.

"So I was thinking we could go out to dinner tonight and then I have your anniversary present at my house." Liv explained to me. "Sound good?"

"Sounds perfect." I nodded.

When it was time for Liv and I's dinner date, I walked over to her house and knocked on the front door. She opened it up after a few minutes, giving me a smile. I looked her up and down, admiring her outfit.

"Hey, cutie." I smiled back at her as I held out my hand. "You look gorgeous."

Liv blushed as she took my hand and stepped onto the porch. I spun her around and then pulled her in for a kiss.

"You're more gorgeous." Liv told me.

"Yeah, yeah." I said. "You ready to go?"

"Yes, I am." She said.

Liv and I walked over to my house and I opened up the passenger door of my truck. I held Liv's hand as she stepped inside and sat down.

She buckled her seat belt and I shut the door before going over to the drivers side and getting in the car. I started up the engine and backed out of my driveway.

"Alright, my passenger princess. Are we heading back to your place after dinner?" I asked her.

"Yeah, if that's okay." Olivia said.

"Of course." I said.

After dinner, we went back to Olivia's house and hung out in her bedroom. I sat down on her bed as I took her anniversary present out of my pocket.

"You ready for your present?" I asked her.

"Mhm."

I opened up my hand to reveal the gold ring that had a little butterfly on it. Liv let out a small gasp before she took the ring and immediately put it on.

"I love it!" She exclaimed.

"Really?" I asked. "I saw it at the store and then when I realized that it had a butterfly on it, I knew it was the perfect gift."

"It's perfect." Liv smiled at me before she placed her hands on my cheek and kissed me.

"I'm glad you like it." I replied.

"You ready for your gift?" Olivia asked me.

I nodded and Olivia went over to get her guitar. She sat down next to me and placed her guitar in her lap.

"I wrote a song about you." She told me causing me to smile. "Is it okay if I film this for my music account?"

"Go right ahead." I smiled.

Olivia set up her phone and started recording. I moved to sit behind her so that I was also in frame of the camera. Liv looked up at me and I leaned down to peck her lips.

"Ready?" Liv asked.

"Always." I said.

Liv started to strum her guitar and then sing. "Just a girl in a Chevy truck. She's got money, but not too much. And she calls me, 'baby girl'. I run my hands through her hair. And my parents think she's good and she is but rest assured, she's anything but sweet. If someone comes for me."

"I'm a feminist, obviously. But I wouldn't really mind her saving me. And I know that I'm fine without a girl, but I think I would like her protection. I'm just being honest, can't change what I like. I'll never forget it, she told me one night, 'if anybody hurts you, I'm going to prison for life'." Liv sang.

"I'm no damsel in distress, no. But I like assertiveness, so, wrap your around me, babe. And tell me that you'll keep me safe. I know it's bad to fantasize about robbers and bad guys. But if she were there to save the day. I think i'd let that girl marry me."

"I'm a feminist, obviously. But I wouldn't really mind her saving me. And I know that I'm fine without a girl, but I think I would like her protection. I'm just being honest, can't change what I like. I'll never forget it, she told me one night, 'if anybody hurts you, I'm going to prison for life'."

"I know I can protect myself, but when you do it for me, it's hot as hell. You got my heart, you know me too well. I think I'd even send you love letters in jail." She sang the bridge.

"I'm a feminist, obviously. But I wouldn't really mind her saving me. And I know that I'm fine without a girl, but I think I would like her protection. And God knows that I don't need no one. But pretending I do is kind of fun." Olivia winked at me through the camera. "Yeah, I know that I'm fine without a girl, but I think I'd like her protection. I'm just being honest, can't change what I like. I'll never forget it, she told me one night, 'if anybody hurts you, I'm going to prison for life."

Liv stopped the recording before she set her guitar down and looked at me. "You like?"

"I love." I corrected her. "That was the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me."

She smiled at me. "I'm glad you loved it. Happy anniversary, baby."

"Happy anniversary."
