Olivia's pov (May 10th, 2019)
I walked up to all my friends as they sat at a table in the courtyard. I was hoping Madison would be there but she wasn't. Usually she drives me to school in the morning but she said she had to go in early today.
"Hey, guys." I greeted them.
"Hey." Jenna turned to face me. "Uh. Olivia Rodrigo, is that a hickey on your neck?" Jenna asked with a small smirk.
I placed my hand over my neck with a small smile. "Ugh, I was hoping nobody would notice. Madi got a little carried away last night and I ran out of concealer this morning. I had to leave the house with a scarf on." I explained causing my friends to laugh. "Speaking of Madi, where is she?"
"She failed her math test yesterday so I think she's getting extra help." Iris explained.
I let out a chuckle as I set my backpack down on the ground. "Of course she did."
I heard somebody clear their throat from behind me causing me to turn around. I smiled when I saw five of the football players standing in a line, each of them holding a sign that had a letter. The letters spelled out prom with a question mark at the end.
My eyes landed on Madison who was standing at the end of the line with a bouquet of my favorite flowers and a sign. She took a step forward so that she was standing in front of me.
"Um, Liv." Madison smiled.
"Madi." I smiled as I looked into her eyes.
"Flowers are the second most beautiful thing in the world. Will you be my date to prom so that I can go with the first?" She read from her sign before holding out the flowers.
I took the flowers from her. "I would love to be your date to prom." I softly said before leaning in and kissing her on the lips.
"Oh, jeez." Madi let out a relieved laugh. "I was stressing all morning, you don't even know. I am not wearing a bow tie."
"That's okay." I chuckled. "You look better in ties, anyways."
"And for the record, I did not fail my math test." Madison said to Iris before she looked at me. "I got a 67."
"That's... That's great, baby." I smiled at her as I rubbed her chest. "Maybe next time aim for a higher grade?"
"Yes, ma'am." She saluted me.
"Oh my gosh. You're such a dork." I playfully rolled my eyes at her.
Later that night, Madison and I were laying down in my bed and watching our promposal video that Conan secretly recorded. I rested my head on her shoulder and placed my hand on her chest as she wrapped her arm around my waist.
I chuckled when the guys had the letters in the wrong order on their first try. You could see Iris in the corner guiding them in the right order with her finger. Madison held up her sign upside down and Jenna moved her finger in a circle, gesturing for her to turn it over which she did.
"You know, I love you and the boys but you football players aren't the sharpest tools in the shed." I told her.
"We're football players, we're not supposed to be smart." Madi replied with a smile. "That's why we're good at sports."
"Alright then." I took her phone out of her hand and placed it on my bedside table before I straddled her. "So, prom. What are we wearing? Should we match or is that corny?"
"I don't know but I know that whatever you wear..." Madison flipped our positions so that she was hovering above me. "You're gonna look sexy as hell."
"Is that so?" I smiled as I wrapped my arms around her neck.
