Olivia's pov (December 6th, 2018)
I stood on our schools side of the field while we waited for the game to start. I noticed one of the boys on the other team start to walk over to me.
"Hey." He said to me, giving me a flirty smile. "I'm Jared."
"I'm Olivia." I responded.
"I saw you over there while I was warming up and I thought you were really cute." Jared told me.
"I have a girlfriend." I told him. "And even if I didn't, I wouldn't go out with you. Our schools are rivals for tonight."
"Hey." I glanced over to my left and saw Madison walk up to me as she took off her helmet. "What's going on here?"
"Nothing." I told her. "Shouldn't you be with the team?"
"Yeah." Madison wrapped her arm around my waist as she looked at Jared. "You're on the wrong side of the field, kid."
"Hey, come on. Chill out. At the end of the day, we're all friends here." Jared replied.
"Yeah, not when you're flirting with my girlfriend." Madison shook her head.
"Your girlfriend?" He asked, glancing at me.
I nodded. "Yes, my girlfriend. I told you I had a girlfriend."
"Yeah, but, you'd rather date this loser than me?" He pointed at Madison.
Madison unwrapped her arm from around my waist and took a step closer to him. "Who you calling a loser?"
"Babe..." I said.
I don't want her to fight him. I've seen how football players fight and it's brutal. I'm not worried for her, I'm worried for him. She'd kill him.
"You think you can beat me and my guys?" Jared asked.
"I know we can." Madison nodded. "We've checked your teams stats and, uh... You guys kind of suck."
"Alright, we'll make a bet. Whoever wins gets to have Olivia." Jared challenged.
I furrowed my eyebrows in disbelief. "Excuse me?"
"No way." Madison told him. "She's a human, not a fucking trophy."
"You scared you're gonna lose?" Jared smirked.
I watched a fire light in Madison's eyes. Jared was pushing her buttons on purpose and trying to piss her off. He was getting in her head.
"Fine." Madison said. "Winner gets Olivia."
"Madison!" I scolded her.
Jared held out his hand and Madison shook it. Jared winked at me before he walked back over to his side of the field.
"God, how I'd like to kick that guys ass." Madison cracked her knuckles as he watched him walk away.
"I'd like to kick your ass." I crossed my arms.
"What?" Madison furrowed her eyebrows at me.
"You think that what you did was attractive? Cause it wasn't. I'm not something to bet off, Madison." I told her.
"I know, baby." She said. "I'm sorry, but, you know how competitive I get. I'm confident we're gonna win, though."
"I'm not getting with him whether you win or lose but you guys better beat them just so I can see him cry." I ordered her.
"I'm not even worried." Madi shook her head.
Madison's pov
I glanced over at the scoreboard, seeing the score was tied with only 5 minutes left on the clock. I looked forward again, seeing Jared walk up to me.
