Madison's pov (February 20th, 2018)
"What's up, Rodrigo's." I announced as I walked into Olivia's house.
I've gotten really close with Olivia's family ever since her and I started dating. They treat me like their own daughter and let me come into their house whenever I want. They're like my second family. They know that my dad is recently divorced and they said that if I ever need anything to just ask them.
"Hey, hon. How was your day?" Sofia, Olivia's mom, asked me.
I haven't talked to my mom since she left. She's tried to talk to me but if i'm being honest i'm still very mad at her for leaving us. Ever since my mom moved back to Boston, Sofia has become like a mother figure to me.
I come to her if I ever need advice on something that my dad wouldn't understand.
"It was good." I answered. "Is Liv here? I have her birthday present."
"I think she's in the shower." Sofia told me. "You guys going out?"
"Yeah. I'm gonna take her out to dinner, then we're gonna go to our spot up on the mountain to hang out, and then we're gonna watch a movie here in the living room." I explained.
"That sounds fun." Sofia said.
"Hey, Madison." Ron came into the kitchen. "You catch the Lakers versus Celtics game last night?"
"I sure did. How are you feeling after that loss?" I smirked.
"Pretty devastated." Ron told me as he grabbed a beer from the fridge. "Next game we'll kick your asses though."
"In your dreams." I laughed.
Olivia's family was a huge Los Angeles Lakers fan and since the Lakers and Celtics were rivals, I often bicker with Olivia's dad a lot. It's more of a joke bickering than an actual fight bickering.
Olivia's pov
I paused at the top of the stairs when I saw Madi talking with my parents. I loved how close they were. It warmed my heart that they loved Madison and Madison loved them.
I walked down the stairs and went into the kitchen. "Hey, baby."
Madison looked at me, giving me a smile. "Hi. Happy birthday."
I walked up to her and kissed her on the lips. "Thank you. You can go up into my room. I'm just gonna grab a snack and I'll meet you up there."
"Okay." Madi nodded before going upstairs.
"I love that kid." Dad said as I got a snack from the fridge. "Olivia, don't ever let her go."
I chuckled. "I won't, Dad."
"She really is a sweet girl." Mom agreed with him as she looked at me. "With everything going on in her life, she's really lucky to have you."
I smiled. "I'm really lucky to have her."
I walked into my room, seeing Madi sitting on my bed with my guitar in her lap. She was playing a few random chords, probably hoping it would magically turn into a song.
I cleared my throat causing her to look up at me. She stood up from the bed and set the guitar back on its stand before walking over to me.
I smiled as she wrapped her arms around my waist. I let out a small giggle as I wrapped my arms around her neck and kissed her.
"My parents really love you." I softly said.
"Who doesn't love me?" Madi asked causing me to chuckle.
"Are you ready to go?" I asked her before starting to walk away.
Madi took my hand and pulled me back to her with a smile. "Wait, you gotta open my present first."
"You got me a present?" I asked.
"Yeah, it's your birthday. Of course I got you a present." She replied.
I watched as she walked over to my desk and picked up a box with birthday wrapping paper. She brought it over to me, giving it to me.
I took it and started to take off the wrapping paper. I took the lid off of the box and moved the tissue paper to the side. I smiled as I saw the stuffed animal of my favorite animal.
"It's not much but at least its something. I know you love stuffed animals and you want to grow your collection." Madison said with a small chuckle.
"It's perfect." I told her.
I set the box on the ground and took the stuffed animal out of the box. Madi watched as I put the stuffed animal on my bed.
"I'll sleep with him every night and call him... Francisco." I smiled.
"Francisco?" Madi asked as I walked back over to her.
"Mhm." I held her hand as we walked downstairs. "You like it?"
"I do. Very clever." Madi chuckled.
After Madison and I went to dinner and then hung out at our spot, we came back to my house. We put on The Hunger Games on the tv in my living room and cuddled on the couch while we watched it.
"So how's it feel being 15?" Madison asked me.
"Feels the same as being 14." I chuckled.
"You have a good birthday?" Madison wondered.
"I did. All thanks to you, baby." I told her.
"That makes me feel special." Madi replied.
"You are special. You do a lot for me and I'm extremely lucky to have you." I said.
"I'm really lucky to have you." Madi smiled at me.
I smiled back at her as I blushed. Madison wrapped her arm around my waist and pulled me closer to her. I rested my head on her shoulder as I placed my hand on her chest and enjoyed the rest of the movie while being in her presence.
