"I had my assistant reserve us a table."
"At?"
"A restaurant."
You gave him a look.
"We'll leave at around 12:30 in a couple of hours,"
"Are we getting driven there, or will we have to walk?" you teased.
A hint of guilt washed over his expression.
"I'm so sorry about that. Seriously, I thought I had hired better people,"
"Tomioka, it's fine, I promise,"
Awkward silence filled the room.
He had you working in his office temporarily as you waited for yours to be ready.
"I know you aren't here permanently, but I figured you deserved your own office for when you are," he told, stoicly.
"When I'm getting that dress you talked about?" You ended up asking.
"Tommorow." he didn't even look up from his laptop.
Your eyes widened, and you began to grow strangely excited, yet also somewhat apprehensive.
And in response, you could've sworn you saw the corner of Giyuu's mouth curve up.
-
Thankfully, the journey to the restaurant was a dry one.
The car dropped directly outside the restaurant's door, meaning there was little to no walk to actually get there.
"We have a private room, by the way,"
"Oh...why?"
"I'm not really in the mood for a bunch of old businessmen hounding me wherever I go, which happens a lot."
"That's understandable," you said, slipping your hands into the pocket of your work trousers.
Two men dressed in suits gave Giyuu a professional nod before opening the doors for both of you and leading you inside.
You quickly inspected the golden chandelier hanging in the hallway before speeding up your pace to keep up with Giyuu.
As promised, you were infact given a private room, where it was just you, him, and a couple of waiters.
They smiled at Giyuu's appearance, eyes flickering to you for merely a few seconds.
They had given you a rather large table, and the cutlery probably cost more than your entire wardrobe.
You weren't sure what to do, in all honesty, but this level of luxury seemed to be the norm in the Entertainment District, so you didn't waste energy complaining.
You weren't starving, so you ended up ordering a plate of garlic bread and some other appetisers.
Giyuu hadn't said... much, it was almost like he was waiting in anticipation for something.
"The dress is for the launch party." he finally spoke.
"Is that all you wanted to tell me?"
"Of course not, but you have a big role to fulfil, and I'd like to clarify some of your duties,"
Instinctively, you straightened your posture.
"This sounds serious,"
The corner of his mouth twitched.
"It's not as bad as it sounds. I'd like you to enjoy yourself, but you still have a job to do,"
You nodded.
