"Oh my god, Giyuu, you've killed her already," a voice spoke.

Why did it feel like you were dreaming?

"Mai, it was not my fault. I was literally the one who caught her,"

"If she hasn't woken up in five minutes, I'm calling an ambulance,"

"Be my guest,"

They continued to go back and forth until all of a sudden, your eyes opened.

"SHE'S ALIVE," Mai screamed.

You blinked for a few seconds, staring at the ceiling as your vision came into focus.

You seemed to be on one of those beds you find in a doctors office, in a room that was painted white at every surface.

Distant music could be heard, and your mouth was dry.

You slowly sat up, hand on your head.

You glanced around the room and noticed Mai and, of course, Giyuu.

"Uhhhh hi?" you said.

"Hey..." Mai smiled."How much do you remember?"

"Not much. The last thing I remember was feeling lightheaded,"

"You fainted."

"I think she knows that, Giyuu."

Mai handed you a bottle of water to which you fiddled with the cap for a moment, trying to process what had happened.

"Seems like the environment was a bit overwhelming for you. Which is understandable, so don't worry. I caught you just as you whacked your head on the ground."

"Thanks..." You half chuckled.

"Are you feeling okay? Do you need anything? We don't mind staying a bit longer." Giyuu asked.

"I'm a bit tired, and my head sorta feels like it's throbbing, but other than that, I'm fine,"

Mai's eyes suddenly lit up.

"How about I leave you guys here for a bit?" she grinned."Giyuu can stay with you for a bit until you feel better."

"You're welcome to stay too, Mai,"

"Unfortunately duty calls Y/n. Take care, okay? I love you,"

Giyuu locked eyes with Mai for a mere second before she waved you both off one last time before disappearing out the door.

His gaze softened as he took your expression in.

"Tomioka, where exactly are we?"

"It's an emergency first aid room the venue has. Figured it was the safest bet."

"Sorry I fainted."

"You don't have to apologise. These places can get ridiculously stuffy sometimes."

He took a few steps forward.

"How's your head?"

"Painful," you bit the inside of your cheek.

"Would you like an ice pack? I'm sure there's one lying around," his eyes began wandering to the cupboards and a small freezer.

"Yeah, I think I would,"

He rummaged through the freezer for a short amount of time before finding a square shaped ice pack.

He quickly wrapped it in a thin cloth, lying around before holding it up to your head.

"Your arm will get tired,"

"I don't mind," he spoke softly, hand still clutching your head.

Every now and then, he moved the ice pack a fraction to the left or right, applying different amounts of pressure.
