Lucy was back in the room with Caleb ahead of her she could see the door she felt the knife go into her stomach.
She shot up holding her stomach breathing deeply. Tim who had been reading breathed in and placed a hand on her belly. What he said quickly eyes panicked. Bad dream she said trying to get her breathing back to normal. I'm okay. I'm okay she said rubbing her bump. Tim pulled her into his arms the simplicity of the moment meant everything to her. He painted patterns on her back and her eyes were heavy go to sleep baby I'm here I've got you Tim said she shut her eyes Tim held her. After 5 minutes he felt her body get heavier her head flopped back into his arm he lay her down and turned the lights off. Their alarm went off at 24 weeks pregnant and having an energetic 4 year old who hated sleep meant the tiredness had hit Lucy. She rolled over livs legs draped over her. Again said Tim I never hear her come in he said me either but I'm getting little to no sleep she said rubbing her eyes. Why don't you stay home today and catch up Lucy shook her head no once i get going I'm alright can you take her to preschool though. Tim kissed her of course babe.
Tim got Liv up and dressed as Lucy showered. Holding her belly. You are just like your sister she said all she did was kick. Walking into the kitchen she saw Liv sat up at the table eating breakfast. Tim look at Lucy come on mummy breakfast is the most important meal he said putting toast into her mouth smiling Lucy munched on it. She ran the brush through Livs hair and put it in a half up half down style pink or blue bow she asked blue mummy please. Lucy finished by grabbing the bow and placing it in her hair. There you look beautiful she said smiling at her daughter. Walking to the cupboard to get a bottle to fill with water by the way baby daddy is dropping you off at school today. But I want you to do it mummy livs eyes started to fill with tears. Since Lucy's pregnancy had progressed Liv wanted to be with Lucy most of the time. She buckled Liv into Tim's car and said goodbye. Lucy got in hers and drove to work.
Arriving she checked her phone normally Tim text to let her know about drop off. Nothing.
She walked in morning ange she said Nyla hugged and said her girl you look better each day how what is your secret? Lucy laughed a clingy 4 year who has now taken permanent residence in my bed meaning I get no sleep and kicked by her and this one she said holding her bump all night. In the break room she checked her phone again nothing. Have you seen Tim she asked Angela who just shook her head. Just then she was interrupted by her phone ah preschool she said answering
hey Jane
Hey Lucy just wondering is little Livy poorly today.
Um no Tim's dropping her off Angela looked at her puzzled
Jane continued well there has been this massive accident close to us he might be stuck in traffic.
Oh wow yeah probably he left the same time as me today I'll give him a ring then let you know.
Thanks Lucy I appreciate it Jane said and hung up.

Tim's not dropped her off yet. The lady who runs preschool said there's a massive accident blocking the road I think he's stuck and Liv was is a mood this morning I'm just going to check on him.

She rang Tim. The line rang and rang nothing. It clicked to voicemail.
Tim give me a call school told me you didn't drop her off.

Nyla walked in they need 2 detectives down at a crash site so they can close it and reopen the road. I've got a call Angela said I'll go Lucy replied. Getting in the shop Nyla drove. Jesus she said looking at the wreckage. Lucy's eyes scanned the area SHIT Nyla stop what Nyla said that's Tim's car that's Tim's car Lucy said opening the door and running to it. She looked it was livs car seat. Her breathing quick and panicked where are the people from this car she shouted a man pointed to the ambulance she ran to row of ambulances there were 4 Christ how many people were injured. Her eyes scanned around and she saw a blue bow on the ground. Her adrenaline high she ran into the ambulance Liv livvy baby mummy's here she was incubated and unconscious Nyla find Tim she said as she arrived at the hospital Angela met her swooping her into her arms Lucy was sobbing holding livs bow. I don't know what happened she said as a doctor told Angela Liv was in surgery. It was going to be long as they didn't know the extent of the damage.
T-ti-Tim where's Tim she said surgery too said Nyla Lucy stood up and went to the toilet she threw up come on sweetheart Nyla said putting her arm around her. They said in the waiting room Lucy couldn't manage this first grey then her love of her life and her daughter. She walked into greys room he opened his arms and she fell into them.
Angela took that Time to call Luna grey and Luna were like Lucy's parents.
Luna it's Angela.
Luna was silent as she explained I'm on my way she said.
Arriving no less than 10 minutes later she ran to Angela where is she. With grey Nyla said. Luna walked in seeing Lucy in greys arms she walked up to her my girl she said Lucy moved to lunas arms. My baby I've got you. Lucy grabbed lunas arm and buried her face into her. She sat on the sofa cuddling her after an hour she was zoned out. Nyla came in Angela had to go home she said she would be back tomorrow. Luna looked at Lucy did you hear her baby Lucy nodded. Luna stood up im going to get a drink I'll get you one. Nyla came with her. The way you are with her is lovely Nyla said. The poor girl came to us at 10 she's spent over 10 years with us she's my girl  Luna smiled.
Luna went home when Nyla promised to stay with her. Lucy got the news at 2:44 am her husband and daughter were in comas. She spent the night going in between their  rooms. At 7 am Angela came back Nyla had fallen asleep on grays sofa. Angela woke her she's not slept Lucy's been on the go all night I put my head down at 6 I just couldn't stay awake.
Angela found Lucy in livs room her eyes red and puffy they shut briefly then opened again quickly Angela could see how exhausted she was. Hey darling any changes she asked no Lucy said okay babe let's go for an hour Lucy shook her head I can't Luna walked in baby go home for an hour then come back Lucy's lip wobbled no I c-ca-can't she said it's my fault Luna bent down in front of her what is ? this I didn't take her to school it should've been me hey stop Luna said it would've just swapped you and Tim around this happened because of bad luck not because you didn't take Liv to school you are a brilliant mum she said leaning into her but you also need to remember this one she said taking Lucy's hand and placing it on her belly. He needs you to look after yourself because he depends on you.  I can't lose them mum she said leaning into Luna. Oh baby girl I'm going to sit right here with Liv and genny is with Tim they aren't alone.
Lucy got up and left with Angela the minute they got home Lucy lay on Tim's side of the bed and fell asleep instantly. True to her word Angela woke her an hour later they returned to the hospital. Another day and night no change a new day and Lucy's eyes were stinging. As afternoon drew in she sat in livs room and shut her eyes Nyla and Angela came in stroking her head Nyla gave her a kiss and rubbed her belly Lucy's eyes opened her she said softly.
No change Angela asked Lucy shook her head
1 week later nothing
2 weeks later nothing
3weeks later nothing
4 weeks later nothing
5 weeks later nothing
Lucy now 29 weeks pregnant exhausted sat in a chair sleeping with her head resting on her daughter's bed.
She thought she was dreaming as she felt little fingers move her hair out the way and plant a kiss on her face she turned her head smiling mummy hearing the voice she wished she could stay in this dream forever. Then she heard it again mummy. Her eyes fluttered open stinging at the fluorescent light then she saw Liv looking at her mummy im hungry she said Lucy wrapped the child in her arms Nyla came in and joined them. She breathed for the first time in 5 weeks Lucy felt something good.
Week 6 was interesting Liv got discharged and Tim took a turn for the worst. Pneumonia Lucy said talking to the doctor Nyla played with Liv to distract her.
30 weeks Lucy felt everything Liv was staying
With gray and Luna while Lucy was at the hospital. She hadn't let her self break in a while no tears. Angela and Nyla had gone home. Luna had called so Liv could say goodnight and Lucy sat on Tim's bed please she said please don't leave me. She held his hand and squeezed it. As she left the room she got in her car and drove home she couldn't keep being there it was killing her. She arrived at Lunas. Picking up a sleeping Liv resting her on her bump she drove home. Turning her phone on silent she decided she needed sleep. Putting Liv in her bed she laid in Tim's side and put Liv on hers she cuddled her daughter and closed her eyes. Normally she would wake multiple times in a night she didn't this time sleeping right through till morning.
Angela was at hospital when Tim's eyes fluttered open Angela hugged him and squealed. The first two words he muttered Liv Angela explained everything that was in a coma but after 5 weeks woke up. Crying he asked Lucy. Angela explained how sitting here day and night for 6 weeks broke her she couldnt do it another night she said she's finally having a good night sleep at home with Liv. She's been at grey and lunas I'll call her now it rang through to voicemail. The doctors gave Tim a once over and let Angela stay past visiting hours
I'll go round to yours she said. No Tim interjected let her sleep. She'll come tomorrow.
The sun rose and Lucy's eyes fluttered open she was drained she looked at her clock 6am she got up and got Liv ready dropping her to Luna for the day. She noticed the missed call from Angela at 2am. She called her back.
Tim and Angela were talking about Lucy and then all of a sudden Angela said speak of the devil she held up her phone
Hey Luce
You called me yesterday is everything okay she said worried
Oh I'm sorry must've been a butt dial she said
Hanging up Lucy went to the hospital cafe picking up a bottle of water and a juice for Angela. Walking into Tim's room she opened the door with her back as both her hands were full

She stopped when she saw Tim awake dropping the bottles. Angela walked out giving them some privacy good job I. Like apple Luce she said.
Hey Luce Tim said tears flowing.

Hey Luce he said opening his arms she flew into them. After what felt like an eternity they let go he placed a hand on her bump it looks like I've been out a while he said you don't say she said. I'm huge almost whale like she said laughing. And yet you're the most beautiful person I've ever seen. Their lips pressed against each other.
