They had managed to keep their romance a secret for 5 months. Lucy had returned to work and was doing so well.
Getting ready in the lockers Angela noticed Lucy's phone on the bench. Luce she called out. Yeah I'm in the cubicle Lucy replied. Angela picked up her phone and went to put it in her locker. Just then a text flashed up
T- I need to see you I need to kiss you - my office in 5??
Nooooo how didn't I see it Angela said . Lucy came out see what she asked laughing. Oh jacks being a right pain but I think he's teething you know being older now. Lucy giggled motherhood sounds like an exhausting job ange.
They both made their way to roll call they were early. Tim was in his office.
Lucy ange started yeah Luce replied. Oh doesn't matter ange said. She wanted Luce to tell her in her own time.
As roll call started she noticed the fleeting and longing looks being exchanged between her two best friends. How had she missed this. She was working with Lucy today she would pry a bit more Angela thought.
As roll call finished
T- Chen can I see you in my office quickly.
Lucy stood up I'll be 2 minutes Angela. Ange smiled.
The office door closed and tim pulled the blinds
He pushed her up against the door kissing her passionately. Why didn't you come before roll call he said I texted you.
L- I didn't see it she said between kisses.
Lucy's moans became more her breath quickened we can't have sex in your office she said close to his ear
T- why not Tim said almost out of breath
I told Angela 2 minutes I can't keep her waiting
Tim grabbed her hair and kissed her neck. It sent shivers down Lucy's back
T- the way I'm feeling right now it will take less than two minutes. He said breathlessly pushing himself up against Lucy. She felt his bulge and her leg grazed it
L- wow romantic she said with a light giggle.
That's all you get mister she said looking down we will have to do something about this later she said while her fingers lightly touched his bulge. He moaned as she went to open the door. He sat looking at her with fire in his eyes. You're evil Chen he said laughing. She blew him a kiss.
As Lucy left the office she caught Angela's eye and walked over she sat down and immediately felt how wet her pants were. Christ he turned her on so much.
A- your gloss is a little smudged she said pointing to Lucy's lips.
Lucy blushed a bright red and fixed it
A- hmm I think you have some explaining to do she said giggling.
What said Lucy acting innocent.
A- you and Bradford it's so obvious she said laughing.
A few hours passed desk duty wasn't so bad as Lucy got to occasionally steal looks at Tim
Tim walked by shall we go to lunch he suggested they all went out and joined Nyla. Half way through the lunch Angela said Tim that's my leg you're rubbing
The group erupted in laughter

Angela laughed your girlfriend's leg is next to mine. Tim looked at Lucy. I think they know Lucy said leaning into him. Nyla said finally I was waiting for you guys to get together how long have you been dating. The group listened in eagerly
Tim replied coming up 5 months.
During the afternoon tim and Lucy got called to a disturbance and a potentially abandoned child. Lucy took some deep breaths her anxiety started to creep in. Tim took her hand. If it's too much step out he said. Tim knew Lucy was maternal he had seen in before but since her miscarriage she hadn't dealt with children. Lucy gave Tim a small smile and They entered clear tim said moving from room to room. Lucy walked up the stairs. She got to the children's room there was a cot and a mobile she froze at the door her breathing quickened her palms sweaty. She took a step forward. There was movement in the cot. She let out a breath she didn't realise she was holding. The baby locked eyes with Lucy she couldn't be much older than Jack Lucy thought as she reached out her hand and stroked the babies face. The baby cooed and grabbed Lucy's fingers. Lucy let out a small puff of air and lent forward but stopped she was so scared.
Clear Tim's voice echoed throughout the house making the baby jump.
Hey hey it's okay Lucy said making shushing noises. The baby whimpered and instinctively she picked her up cradling her close to her body. You're safe now. The baby's whimpers started to subside. Tim came up the stairs and stopped when he saw Lucy in the room Nyla not far behind she grabbed Tim's arm as he went to go forward. No leave her she needs to do this Nyla said. Tim's heart hurt watching Lucy settle the upset infant. She started bouncing gently and rocking her until the child's cry's stopped. A tear rolled down her face. Pull yourself together Lucy thought. Nyla looked at Tim now go she said. Tim walked in who have we got here he said stroking the small child's head the baby cooed and Tim's hand found Lucy's shoulder. All of a sudden it was too much Lucy handed the baby to Tim and walked out Nyla followed her Lucy's breathing became faster. Nyla took her hand not here she said come with me. Lucy followed her vision blurred with tears. They sat away from every one.
Too much Nyla enquired. Lucy nodded her eyes still keeping the tears in. Nyla sat with her in silence. Seeing Tim with baby and him near me I felt like I couldn't breath I she put her hand to her stomach. I would've been due any day now Lucy said with that the tears spilt over Nyla pulled her in for a hug. Lucy leaned in. I can't ever do it again. She said.
Their shift ended and Tim and Lucy drove home. She had her hand in his. They got in and Lucy sat on the sofa Kujo who was normally energetic sensed a change and sat with his head in her knees. She stroked his head. Tim unaware of how to help gave her a kiss then sat next to her. Lucy got on his lap and started kissing him deeply. He half heartedly returned them but put his hand up cupping her face.
Lu-Luce hey Lucy you don't have to do this. It's okay you're hurting. Today was a lot for anyone. She stopped kissing him and broke down into tears he wrapped his arms around her and they stayed connected. After a while tim lay down on the sofa cuddling Lucy into him they stayed like that for the whole night. Both Tim and Lucy took a personal day when morning broke and went back to sleep.
Tim's phone on silent missed the first call from Angela then the second  and  third.
Angela had heard about the case before and didn't want to ring Lucy but now had no choice. After 2 rings she picked up
L- hey
A- omg Lucy thank god
Lucy sat upright Tim's hands still on her body he was still asleep.
L- you okay
A- no I don't know what to do I need help
L-woah slow down take a breath what happened
A- Wes he's in hospital he's taken an overdose fuck Lucy I don't know if he's ok
Lucy felt her best friends pain
A- I can't see him while I have Jack he's too young.
Without a second thought Lucy replied
L- bring him here we will look after him
