Bumps and happy tears

It's so different Lucy said looking down at her stomach in the mirror. What is Tim asked walking behind her. Everything, me I guess. I'm already a mum going through this the second time she paused the third time i feel this love already.
You didn't before Tim asked. I was terrified of Chris everything was born out of fear. With Liv I was numb waiting for something bad to happen. Now with peanut I feel love I'm calm.
I think we should tell everyone. You're coming up 20 weeks Tim said. Lucy had a tiny bump again it was hidden with baggy clothes.
No she shot around anxiety etched on her face. Why questioned Tim. It's us the minute we accept something good, something bad happens. At the minute it's us it's safe she said. Tim pulled her in for a hug can we tell Liv he said. Laughing Lucy said that blabbermouth our secret wouldn't last a day. Tim rolled his eyes. Hey we made this Tim said holding her bump Lucy giggled resting her head on his chest. We are amazing he laughed.
Can you get Liv we are going to be late to Angela's and I want to meet my godson she said. Smacking him on the bum he left the room. Liv had celebrated her fourth birthday 4 weeks ago and all of sudden had grown up loads she was doing so much better but the last couple of weeks had clung to Lucy.
Walking up to the door Liv knocked Wes opened it Lucy embraced him lightly not pressing her bump against him. Congratulations she said! Seeing Angela tears fell. Woah Chen don't start me off Angela said. Tim rolled his eyes. Lucy held her godson Lucy meet Alex Tim Lopez. Lucy cradled the newborn she looked up at Tim smiling. angela seeing this smiled. Tim looked lovingly at her Liv sat on his lap. Isn't mummy beautiful Tim said Liv nodded. Mummy can I see. Lucy nodded and patted the sofa. Holding Alex was second nature for Lucy Liv sat next to her she held Alex mummy Liv asked she nodded I think I'm a little bit in love with him. Is he coming home with us All the adults laughed. No baby he's auntie Angela's and uncle Wes' baby he lives here.  He was the baby in her tummy Liv asked Lucy nodded yes darling the day went on Lucy and Angela chatted for a bit then she sat with Liv and Alex again. Angela walked over to Tim natural isn't she. Tim smiled she makes it look easy. His eyes drifted back to Lucy he was so in love with her.

3 weeks later Lucy was 21 weeks and today was the day gender appointment and telling Liv. Nervous was an understatement. Angela had come back to work Wes was staying home this Time.
Angela was chatting with Lucy when Tim walked up ready he said. Oh god Lucy said putting her hands to her head. No give me 2 seconds she said rushing to her office. Don't rush he said watching her rush.
Falls on deaf ears he laughed with Angela. What are you 2 doing today how come you're taking my work wife ? Tim laughed appointment he said. Hmm Angela said first I've heard of it she said. Believe it or not Lopez Tim said I don't run everything past you he said with a wink. I'll get Liv Lucy said rushing down to day care. 5 minutes later Liv Tim and Lucy left hand in hand. Arriving at the hospital Liv asked what are we doing here mummy. Lucy smiled we have a surprise. Livs face lit up what what mummy what is it. Tim looked at her you have to wait and see.
The three of them walked into the waiting area.
Grace the doctor and Tim's old friend waved them to come in. Tim sat Liv on his knee why are you lying down mummy she said giggling.
Grace put gel on Lucy's belly. Shhh Liv Tim said listen. Liv was quiet
Thump thump** thump thump**
What's that Liv said looking at Lucy mummy why is your tummy making that noise she said giggling. Look at the screen Lucy said Grace tilted it so Liv could see she climbed off Tim's knee and walked towards Lucy and the screen. What do you think this is Lucy said pointing at the sonogram. Liv looked inquisitively at the screen. The little girl smiled looking hard at the screen. Livy what do you think is in mummy's tummy Tim asked kneeling down next to her. Liv looked at the screen then at Lucy then Tim and back at her belly. baby? Liv asked Lucy nodded Tim said mummy has a baby in her tummy Liv brought her hands to her mouth no way she said giggling there's a baby in there pointing to Lucy's tummy. Yeah hunny  you're going to be a big sister she said Livy giggled and hugged Tim and held Lucy's hand. Tim looked at Liv who was beaming do you want to know if you are having a brother or sister he asked Liv nodded. She held Lucy's hand as the wand went over her stomach. Grace turned to them you're having a.. hmmm yep definitely a baby boy. Lucy had a tear in her eye. Tim kissed her lips. Liv smiled a brother like jack has. Tim nodded. Mummy why are you crying she said Grace let them have some time alone. They are happy tears baby Lucy said. Liv looked at Tim I think daddy has them too. The laughed walking out hand in hand.
All of a sudden their world was turned upside down...
