Evie JonesRunning around my bedroom like a lunatic. I try to find my iPod. "Where is my iPod!" I scream out from the second floor.
This sucks, everything sucks. This small town in nowhere sucks. This house sucks. I hate everything here.
"It's here sis, chill " I turn around finding Owen in the doorway. Holding my iPod. "Well, stop stealing it and I would be chill" I say frustrated.
He scoffs at me, shaking his head. "Whatever" he turns to leave.
I shut the door behind him. "Be ready in 5 or I'll leave without you." He yells from the stairs.
My brother Owen is two year older then me but already thinks he can boss me around. Well he always has taken care of us.
Our parents where away most of the time, leaving us home alone. So he got stuck by the role of parent to his younger siblings.Packing down the iPod in my bag I stop and look in the mirror. My long black hair is exactly the perfect amount of messy and the black around my eyes leans more to a Smokey eye then full goth.
"Evie Jones" I say to my reflection. " I'm Evie" I repeat. Narrowing my eyes at myself I take a big breath.
I can do this. It's not a big deal. I'm only starting a new school with a bunch of rich kids. Were I clearly doesn't fit in.
But it's not like I'm going alone and I have been through much worse. So this should be easy. A little stepping stone before I turn a new leaf.
Picking up my backpack I leave the safety of my room. I stop by my younger sister's room. Poking my head in I find her fixing some old radio.
"What's that" I ask her. She doesn't look up when she answer "a radio" the little smart ass replies.
"I know that, but why do you have an old radio" curiosity is spreading through me. "Aunt Hellen said she was going to throw it away, but I asked if I could have it instead"
"Aha, so what you're going to fix it for her" I tilt my head to the side. No that can't be it, she would never do something so nice.
She finally looks up at me beaming. She lays away the things she had in her hand. Then pushing some buttons and music comes playing through.
"No, I'm going to sell it. Do you see this label here" she points to some golden letters on the side. I nod. " one thing I know is that this is expensive. And aunt Hellen gave it to me so I can do whatever I want with it"
I laugh and shake my head at her.
"Sure, do what you want" I turn around to leave. "Hurry and come downstairs. Owen drives in five"
I continue down the stairs. Stopping by the kitchen where aunt Hellen sits in a chair, drinking coffee.
She's only 29 years old but got stuck raising the four of us. After our parents died in a car crash, we moved from Dublin to Ballylaggin.
A town in Cork, Ireland.
"Morning" I greet Hellen and pick up a apple on the counter.
"Come on, Evie and Ciara!" Owen yells by the front door. Where he stands and tap's his foot on the floor impatiently.
A laughing Finn comes running on his little feet. Ciara fast on his heels.
"Stop bothering the five year old, Ciara" Owen says sternly. But there is a little smile on his lips. Showing he's more concerned about being late then mad at her.
Lifting up Finn in my arms. "How's my favorite boy doing" I ask with a smile. He beams up at me.
"good!" He laughs. I seat him in his chair, giving him his orange juice.
"So, are you excited for your first day at school" Hellen asks. Clapping her hands she gives us all a big smile.
"Yea" Ciara answers nervously. I nod.
"Come on" Owen says. Letting a deep breath out I pick up my backpack and wander out to the car.
