Evie's POV
It was the final rugby game of the season, and the energy was electric. The stands were packed, and everyone was buzzing with excitement.
Masen was on the field, focused and determined, and I stood on the sidelines, my camera in hand, ready to capture every moment.
As the game progressed, I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride.
Not just for Masen, but for everything we'd been through. We had fought through rumors, bullies, and misunderstandings, and now here we were, stronger than ever.
When the final whistle blew and Ballylaggin secured the victory, Masen ran over to me, his face flushed with excitement. He pulled me into a hug, lifting me off the ground.
"We did it!" he laughed, his arms wrapped tightly around me.
I smiled, feeling the warmth of his embrace. "Yeah, we did."
Masen's POV
After the game, we all gathered to celebrate. The team, our friends, everyone was there.
As the night wore on, I found myself sitting with Evie under the stars again, just like that night after the storm.
"So, what happens next?" she asked, her voice quiet.
I shrugged, smiling. "Whatever we want. No more drama, no more rumors—just us."
Evie smiled, her eyes shining in the moonlight. "I like the sound of that."
We sat in comfortable silence, the future stretching out ahead of us. For the first time, it felt like everything was going to be okay. And that was enough.
