The sun is about to set. Casting a golden glow over the rugby field as I adjust the camera strap around my neck.

It's Friday evening and the match is about to begin. My heart pounds as I scan the field.

Spotting the players warming up. Amongst them is Masen and his friends. I can't help but watch him a little longer then I should.

His focus and determination evident even from a distance. Focus on the game I remind myself.

"Evie! Over here!" Shannon's voice cuts through my thoughts. I turn to see her waving at me from the bleachers.

Her grin wide and welcoming. Claire and Lizzie are with her. Chatting away. While two younger boys. Shannon's brothers I assume. Dart around her legs, laughing and teasing each other.

I grab Ciara by the arm. And make my way over to them.

"Hey, you made it!" Claire calls out as I and Ciara approach, pulling me into a hug. " Ready to take some killer shots of the game?"

"I'll try" I laugh nervously, adjusting the camera again. I glance over at Lizzie who gives me a brief nod before turning back to Shannon's youngest brother, Ollie, who is chasing Tadhg around the bleachers.

"Right, this is my little sister Ciara" I push her so she stands before me. "Hi" she says as she glance around the field.

"Aww so cute" Claire says as she introduce herself. "Tadhg!,Ollie!" Shannon yells.

Both boys look up. "Come here" she orders. They follow and stops beside her. "Why don't you show Ciara around" she asks.

"Sure!" Ollie says excitedly. Tadhg only nods. Ciara looks up at me. Pleading me to make her stay. I shake my head.

"Go on, have fun" I push her towards the boys. She grumble's under her breath but do what I said.

I watch as they walk away into the crowd.

Shannon pulls me aside. "By the way, Johnny's mum is here. Edel Kavanagh. She sitting with the younger boys. You should say hi."

As if on cue. A tall woman with kind eyes and a warm smile approaches us. "You must be Evie" Edel says, her voice full of motherly warmth. " Shannon told me about you. Here to capture the game?"

I nod. Trying to hide my nerves." Yeah, it's my first assignment for the school newspaper"

Edel smiles knowingly." Well you picked a good match. Johnny's leading the team today, and it should be an exciting one"

She gestures towards the field. Where Johnny Shannon's boyfriend and the team captain. Is already giving orders to the players, Masen among them.

As I reise my camera to take some pictures, Edel glances down at the boys and Ciara. "Tadhg, Ollie stay close, alright?" The boys nods.

Thought their attention is already on the game. Sean the youngest is on her hip. Quietly sucking his thumb.

I glance down at Ciara who is in grossed in her phone. She looks up across the field where a few girls stand.
