Kelsey felt a rush of heat flood her cheeks at the thought of her first kiss. The moment Timothy leaned in, her heart raced, and she instinctively pulled away just as their lips were about to meet. Panic surged through her, and she couldn't help but feel flustered.

"I guess you're not comfortable kissing on your first date," Timothy said, his tone light but tinged with understanding.

"Date?" Kelsey exclaimed, her eyes widening in surprise. The word hung in the air, and she felt a mix of excitement and nervousness. "Is this a date?"

Timothy chuckled softly, brushing a hand through his hair. "You know what I mean. But hey, take your time. There will be other opportunities," he assured her, his voice warm and reassuring.

"It's not that," Kelsey started, her mind racing as she tried to explain. "I'm just...."

"Uncomfortable?" Timothy completed her sentence, his expression shifting to one of empathy. He took a step back, giving her some space, which made her feel a little more at ease.

Kelsey hesitated, feeling a whirlwind of emotions. "Never mind," she said, her voice quieter now. She didn't want to delve into her feelings of anxiety and pressure. Instead, she focused on the fact that she was still getting to know him, and the moment felt a bit overwhelming.

Timothy smiled gently, sensing her unease. "Hey, it's completely okay. We can just enjoy the night and see where things go. No pressure."

Kelsey felt a wave of relief wash over her at his words. "Thank you for being so understanding," she said, grateful for his patience. "I guess I'm just not used to being in situations like this."

"Trust me, I get it," Timothy replied, his demeanor relaxed. "We're both still figuring things out. Let's just hang out and enjoy the rest of the party. I'd love to get to know you better without any expectations."

Kelsey smiled, feeling the tension ease between them. "I'd like that," she admitted, feeling more comfortable now. "Let's dance!"

"Do you mind if I come visit you at work?" Timothy asked, his eyes lighting up with enthusiasm.

Kelsey felt a flutter of excitement at the idea. "I'm working the late shift this week, though," she replied, her mind racing with thoughts of how their meeting would unfold. "I'll be there from 3 p.m. until midnight. But I'll probably take a break around 7 p.m. if you want to pop by then."

"That sounds perfect!" Timothy replied, his smile wide and genuine. "I'd love to see you in action while you're working.

Kelsey chuckled, feeling nervous. "Just a warning, though—I might be a little busy during my shift, but I'll make sure to find a moment to chat with you. It gets pretty hectic, especially during dinner rush."

"I'm sure I can survive the chaos for a little while," he teased, his playful tone putting her at ease. "I'll bring my patience and a healthy appetite. I'm looking forward to trying one of those legendary burgers!"

Kelsey felt a warmth spread through her at his eagerness. "Well, if you're going to come, you have to try the double cheeseburger with the special sauce. It's a crowd favorite for a reason!" She couldn't help but smile at the thought of sharing her favorite menu items with him.

"Deal! I'll make sure to take your recommendation," Timothy said, his expression sincere. "And I can't wait to see you in your element. I'll make sure to bring my appetite and my curiosity," Timothy said with a wink. "So, I'll see you around 7, then?"

"Yep! Just look for me at the counter. I'll be the one wearing the Whimsy Burger uniform and trying to manage the chaos!" Kelsey replied, her heart racing a little at the thought of their upcoming meeting.
