On Monday morning, Kelsey was filled with a mix of excitement and nerves as she prepared for her big interview. She stood in front of the mirror, adjusting her blouse and practicing her smile, hoping to convey confidence. "Mom, I'm just going to grab a breakfast bar; otherwise, I'm going to be late," she called out from the kitchen, her voice slightly wavering.

"Why don't you wait for me? I can drop you off. I'm on my way to work," Mrs. Prescott replied, her tone filled with maternal concern.

"Oh yes, I forgot! It's back to school today," Kelsey said, her eyes widening as she recalled the busy traffic that would be inevitable. "Traffic might be a bit heavy."

"But you'll still get there faster than if you wait for a cab," her mom reassured her.

"Okay, Mom. I'm ready if you are," Kelsey replied, grabbing her bag and taking a deep breath to calm her nerves.

"Alright, let's go," Ms. Prescott said, smiling as they headed out the door.

"Bye, Mom. I'll take a cab home later. Enjoy your day back at school!" Kelsey called as they reached the car.

"Bye, sweetie. Good luck with the interview!" her mother replied, giving her a supportive squeeze before they parted.

As Kelsey stepped out of the car, she gazed up at the stunning, tall building that housed the Harrington Group. Its sleek glass façade sparkled in the morning sun, and she felt a rush of determination. Inside, the lobby was adorned with marble tiles that gleamed under the bright lights, creating an atmosphere of elegance and professionalism. She quickly headed over to the reception desk, her heart racing with anticipation.

"Hi there! I'm Kelsey Prescott. I have an interview with Ms. Laylah Barnes," she said, trying to keep her voice steady.

"Have a seat. I'll give her a call," the receptionist replied, her tone friendly.

The receptionist quickly dialed a number. "Miss. Prescott, Ms. Barnes is ready for you on the 5th floor," she announced.

"Thanks!" Kelsey said, her pulse quickening as she made her way to the elevator.

As she ascended, she mentally prepared herself for the interview, recalling the research she had done on the company and the role. When the elevator doors opened, she stepped out and entered a waiting area filled with other candidates, each looking equally nervous. There were about six candidates seated, all waiting for their turns, and Kelsey felt a wave of apprehension wash over her.

After a few moments of waiting, a voice called out, "Is Kelsey Prescott here?"

"Yes!" she replied, standing up and smoothing her skirt as she made her way into the interview room.

Inside, she was met with three people: Ms. Laylah Barnes, Mr. Cupido, and another stunning young woman who looked like she could be her age. Kelsey's eyes were drawn to her, captivated by her poise and confidence. Ms. Barnes quickly introduced them. "This is Mr. Cupido and Miss Carmelita Harrington, the heir of the Harrington Group."

"It's a pleasure to meet you," Kelsey said, her heart racing but her voice steady.

As they settled into the interview, Kelsey prepared herself for the questions that would come her way. She knew that this was her chance to impress them, and she was determined to make the most of it.

Interviewer: Can you tell us a little about yourself and your background in accounting?

Kelsey: Sure! I'm currently a second-year accounting student, and I've been focusing on courses like financial reporting and managerial accounting. I've participated in group projects that have really helped me understand the practical aspects of the field and prepared me for this role.
