Regulus and Y/N were deeply in love, their bond unbreakable even in the darkest times. They found solace in each other despite the chaos of the war and the dark influence of Regulus's family. They dreamt of a future where they could be together without fear.
One night, Regulus went on a mission for Voldemort, a mission he had been dreading. He didn't want to do it, but he had no choice. He had to maintain his cover while secretly plotting against the Dark Lord. Y/N pleaded with him not to go, but he reassured her with a kiss and a promise to return.
Hours passed, and Y/N paced their small apartment, worry gnawing at her. Finally, Regulus stumbled through the door, his face pale and his eyes blank. Y/N rushed to him, but he didn't recognize her. Panic gripped her heart as she realized something was terribly wrong.
Regulus had been cursed during the mission. The spell had erased all his memories of Y/N. He looked at her like a stranger, confusion and fear in his eyes. Y/N's heart shattered, but she vowed to help him remember their love.
Days turned into weeks, and Y/N tried everything to jog his memory. She showed him pictures of their happy times together, told him stories of their adventures, and even brought him to places they used to visit. But Regulus remained cold and distant, unable to recall their past.
One evening, Y/N sat with Regulus by the fire, holding his hand. "Do you remember this place? We used to sit here for hours, talking about our future," she said, her voice trembling with hope.
Regulus shook his head, his expression blank. "I'm sorry, Y/N. I want to remember, but I just can't."
Tears filled Y/N's eyes. She couldn't bear the thought of losing him like this. She leaned in, pressing her forehead against his. "I love you, Regulus. I always will."
Regulus pulled away, confusion and sadness in his eyes. "I wish I could remember. I can feel something, but it's like a shadow, always out of reach."
Y/N's heart ached. She knew she was losing him, not to death, but to a curse that had stolen their love. Desperate, she sought out every possible way to break the spell. She consulted books, asked friends for help, and even took dangerous risks to find a solution.
One night, after months of searching, Y/N found an ancient ritual that might break the curse. But it came at a high price – her own life. She didn't hesitate. She loved Regulus too much to let him suffer this way.
She prepared everything carefully, making sure Regulus wouldn't suspect anything. As she began the ritual, Regulus entered the room, his face pale with fear. "What are you doing, Y/N?"
She looked at him, tears streaming down her face. "I'm breaking the curse, Regulus. I can't bear to see you like this."
"No, Y/N! You can't do this!" Regulus shouted, trying to stop her.
"It's the only way," she whispered, her voice filled with love and determination. "Remember me, Regulus. Remember our love."
As the ritual completed, a bright light filled the room. Regulus fell to his knees, clutching his head. Memories flooded back, the love he had for Y/N crashing over him like a tidal wave. But as the light faded, he saw Y/N lying motionless on the floor.
"No! Y/N!" Regulus cried, rushing to her side. He held her in his arms, tears streaming down his face. She had sacrificed herself to bring him back, to restore their love.
In her final moments, Y/N's eyes fluttered open, a faint smile on her lips. "I love you, Regulus. Always."
Regulus kissed her forehead, his heart breaking. "I love you too, Y/N. I always will."
With a final breath, Y/N's eyes closed, and Regulus was left holding her, his heart shattered. He realized that the true curse was losing the love of his life. The war had taken everything from him, but it was Y/N's love that had saved him in the end.
