Regulus was sitting in the Black library, pouring over a dusty tome on defensive magic when Kreacher appeared at his side, wringing his hands nervously.

"Master Regulus," the elf said hesitantly, his large eyes filled with worry. "There has been... an incident. Miss Y/N—she is at St. Mungo's."

Regulus froze, the quill in his hand snapping in two. He turned to Kreacher, his voice sharp and demanding. "What happened?"

"I do not know, Master," Kreacher replied. "But she is injured. They sent word for her friends and family to come."

Regulus didn't wait for further explanation. He pushed back his chair and strode toward the fireplace, his movements brisk and tense. His mind reeled with worst-case scenarios, and for once, he couldn't keep his emotions in check.

The moment he arrived at St. Mungo's, he cornered the nearest Healer, his voice cold but frantic. "Where is she? What happened?"

For someone so composed, the sight of Regulus pacing outside Y/N's room was a stark contrast. He wouldn't leave until he saw her, even if it meant waiting all night.

Regulus entered the room with a calmness that belied the turmoil inside him. He sat down beside Y/N, his movements measured, almost reverent.

For a while, he simply observed her, his fingers tracing the edge of the armrest. Finally, he broke the silence.

"You're stronger than this," he said firmly. "I know you are."

He leaned forward, his elbows resting on his knees as he clasped his hands together. "You've always been there for everyone else. Now it's time for you to let us be here for you."

His voice grew quieter as he added, "I'll make sure you're alright. Whatever it takes."

Regulus had been quietly reading aloud from a book he found on the bedside table, his voice steady and calm. He nearly dropped the book when he heard a soft chuckle.

"Regulus," Y/N said weakly, "you're better at this than I thought."

His head shot up, and he stared at her for a moment, stunned. Then a small, genuine smile broke across his face.

"You're awake," he said softly, setting the book down. "I knew you would be."

He leaned forward, his hand brushing against hers. "Don't scare me like that again, alright? You've got people who care about you. Me included."
