The air in the Slytherin common room crackled with tension. Theodore Nott sat on the emerald-green couch, one leg casually crossed over the other, but his usual calm demeanor was fraying at the edges. His sharp eyes, typically cool and calculating, watched Y/N pace back and forth in front of the fireplace.

"You've been acting strange for weeks," Theo said, his voice calm but firm. "And now you're avoiding my questions. What's going on, Y/N?"

Y/N stopped in her tracks, her back to him. The flames cast her shadow across the room, stretching tall and imposing. She clenched her fists at her sides, her mind racing. She had kept her secret for so long—so carefully. But now, with Theo staring at her like that, she could feel her resolve crumbling.

"I can't tell you, Theo," she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper.

His brows furrowed as he stood, closing the distance between them in a few measured steps. "That's not good enough," he said softly. "You can tell me anything, you know that."

Y/N turned to face him, her eyes searching his for something—anything—to anchor herself. But all she saw was concern laced with frustration.

"This isn't about trust," she said, her voice trembling. "It's about what's safe. For both of us."

Theo's jaw tightened, and his hands found her shoulders, steadying her. "Safe? Since when have I ever cared about playing it safe?" His tone was a mix of irritation and affection. "Y/N, whatever it is, I can handle it. Just tell me."

The words caught in her throat. Could he handle it? Could anyone?

Finally, she stepped back, shrugging off his hands. "Fine," she said, her voice harder now. "You want the truth? I'll give it to you."

Theo watched her intently as she took a deep breath.

"My father," she began, her voice steady despite the storm raging inside her, "is Zeus."

For a moment, the room was silent, save for the crackling fire. Theo blinked, his expression unreadable.

"Zeus," he repeated slowly, as if testing the word.

"Yes," she said, her eyes meeting his. "The god of the sky. King of Olympus. That Zeus."

Theo's lips parted slightly, his mind clearly racing to catch up. "So... you're saying you're—"

"A demigoddess," she finished for him. "Half-mortal, half-god. That's why..." She hesitated, but there was no point holding back now. "That's why things happen around me. The storms, the... energy. It's all me."

Theo's eyes narrowed as he took a step closer. "The lightning during the Quidditch match last month," he said, his voice low. "That was you."

She nodded, her gaze dropping to the floor. "I couldn't control it. I got angry, and... it just happened."

Theo let out a slow breath, running a hand through his dark hair. "And the time the Slytherin common room flooded? You said it was the pipes—"

"It wasn't," she admitted, her cheeks flushing with shame. "It was me. I was panicking, and... the storm followed."

For a moment, Theo said nothing. Y/N braced herself for the inevitable questions, the disbelief, the rejection. Instead, he surprised her.

"So that's why your magic feels... different," he said thoughtfully. "Stronger. Wilder."

Her head snapped up, surprise flickering across her face. "You're not... scared?"

"Scared?" He chuckled softly, though there was an edge to it. "Y/N, I've seen what you can do. I'd be lying if I said it didn't intimidate me a little. But scared? No. I'm not scared of you."

She stared at him, her heart pounding. "Then what are you?"

He stepped closer, his gaze locking onto hers. "Fascinated," he said simply. "You've always been different, Y/N. I've always known that. But this?" He gestured vaguely toward her. "This just makes sense. You're more powerful than any of us. And you've been carrying this alone?"

Y/N nodded, her throat tight. "I had to. If people found out, they'd either try to use me... or destroy me."

"Well, that's not happening," Theo said firmly. "Not as long as I'm around."

Her eyes softened, but doubt still lingered in her mind. "You don't understand, Theo. My father—he's not just a god. He's a force of nature. If he finds out I've been using my powers or—worse—if he finds out about you..."

Theo smirked, his confidence returning. "I'm not afraid of your father, Y/N. Zeus might control the skies, but I've seen you. You're the storm. And if he's got a problem with us, he'll have to go through me first."

Y/N let out a shaky laugh, her heart swelling with a mixture of relief and disbelief. "You're insane."

"Maybe," he admitted, pulling her closer. "But I mean it. You're mine, Y/N. And I don't care if you're the daughter of Zeus or Merlin himself. Nothing changes that."

She looked up at him, the weight of her secret finally lifting. "You're not what I expected," she said softly.

"Good," he replied, leaning down to brush his lips against her forehead. "Because neither are you."

As the storm raged outside, Y/N realized something: Theo wasn't just a safe harbor. He was the one person who could stand beside her in the tempest, unshaken. And for the first time in her life, she wasn't afraid of the storm within her.
