Mattheo paced back and forth in the Slytherin common room, his mind racing with the revelation he'd just learned. He hadn't believed it at first—how could he? Y/N, his Y/N, the quiet yet confident Slytherin who'd stolen his heart, was the daughter of Poseidon? A literal demigoddess? It sounded like a bad attempt at a mythical joke, yet here he was, trying to wrap his head around the fact that the girl he thought he knew had a secret life that rivaled even his dark and complicated one.

Y/N stood by the fireplace, her arms crossed defensively. She watched him, waiting for the inevitable explosion of questions or disbelief. "Are you going to say something, or are you just going to pace until you burn a hole in the carpet?" she asked, her voice sharper than she intended.

Mattheo stopped in his tracks, turning to look at her with a mix of awe and exasperation. "You're Poseidon's daughter. Like, the actual god of the sea. Does that make you, what, a princess of the ocean?"

Y/N rolled her eyes. "I prefer 'powerful demigoddess,' but sure, if that helps you process it."

He stared at her, then threw his hands up. "You've been walking around Hogwarts, a Slytherin no less, acting like you're just... normal! Meanwhile, you're out here commanding the bloody ocean!"

"I don't 'command the ocean,'" Y/N corrected, though a small smirk tugged at her lips. "Not without good reason, at least."

Mattheo narrowed his eyes. "And your brother—Percy Jackson, was it? The guy who literally fought Titans and won? You've been keeping that under wraps too?"

Y/N shrugged. "You didn't exactly tell me your dad was Voldemort on the first date."

"That's... fair," Mattheo admitted begrudgingly, though the mention of his father made his jaw tighten. "But you have to admit, this is insane. I've been competing with regular witches and wizards for your attention, and now I find out you're out here battling monsters and being Poseidon's favorite kid?"

"First of all, I don't battle monsters that often," Y/N retorted, stepping closer. "And second, you're not 'competing' with anyone, Mattheo. You're my boyfriend. You're the one I chose to be with."

The tension in Mattheo's shoulders eased slightly, though he still had a thousand questions swirling in his head. "So, what can you actually do? Like, what kind of powers are we talking about here?"

Y/N sighed, knowing this was inevitable. "Fine. Watch." She held out her hand, and within moments, a sphere of water formed from seemingly nowhere, hovering above her palm. She moved her fingers, and the water morphed into shapes—a snake, a dagger, a wave—before dissipating into thin air.

Mattheo's eyes widened, and for a moment, he was speechless. Then a grin spread across his face, wicked and full of admiration. "That's... hot. You're basically unstoppable."

Y/N raised an eyebrow. "I don't know if I'd go that far."

"No, seriously," Mattheo said, stepping closer and taking her hands in his. "You're a Slytherin, a demigoddess, and you've got the kind of power that would make half the wizarding world tremble. That's sexy, Y/N."

She laughed despite herself, shaking her head. "Leave it to you to make this about how 'sexy' my powers are."

"Hey, I'm just saying," he said, pulling her closer with that mischievous glint in his eyes. "I thought I was dating a badass before. Now I find out you're a literal daughter of the sea? You're just full of surprises, aren't you?"

"You have no idea," Y/N said, leaning in to kiss him.

As their lips met, Mattheo couldn't help but think about how his life had just gotten infinitely more complicated—and infinitely better. Because Y/N wasn't just any Slytherin; she was his demigoddess, his partner in chaos, and the only person who could keep him on his toes.
