The next day, Orm, Jaja and surprisingly Prigkhing went together for lunch at the cafeteria. As they were waiting in line, Orm couldn't help but feel giddy about the fact that Lingling had those food labels for her. To be honest, she has not moved on since yesterday. She found it very considerate of her to do that.

“Have you heard the new gossip?”

Orm overheard the conversation of the two other employees in front of them. She wasn't paying much attention until they mentioned Lingling.

“I heard that Khun Sirilak's fiancé is also from Noiam.”

“Really? Who could it be?”

Jaja subtly glanced at Orm. Behind them, Prigkhing was also eyeing her, waiting for her reaction. Orm told herself to just ignore them, not like she could do anything about it, but despite the line already moving, the gossip didn't stop.

“Do you think it's Khun Pentaii? He’s part of the board and they are close, no?”

“Huh? Isn't he…” One made a gesture insinuating the man's sexuality.

“But isn't Khun Sirilak…” And the other one did so too. “...too? I mean, does it matter if it's for business anyway? Rich people do that, right?”

That made Orm frown. She already didn't like that they were gossiping about Lingling. More so, when they casually talked about the girl's sexuality like it was their business.

“Calm down.”

Orm realized that she might have been deep in thoughts when Jaja nudged her arm gently. “Oh um…” The older one nodded which she returned with a little smile.

Prigkhing saw everything and just snorted. Raising her brow and sighing, she went to grab a plate.

After lunch, Orm decided to bring Lingling lunch in case she has not had hers yet. While on her way, she leaned against the mirrored wall of the elevator. ‘Who's Khun Pentaii anyway? He's close with P'Lingling? Why didn't she mention him at all? I thought Khun Gap is her only male friend?’ She narrowed her eyes at her own reflection then. ‘It's me, hello? I'm the one who Lingling Kwong is marrying. Not him.’ She then shook her head. “Hayy!”

Not long after, the elevator door opened. She went out and saw Nene by her table. She was immediately noticed by the secretary, and greeted by her.

“Sawasdee kha. Is P'Lingling inside?”

Nene seemed surprised by Orm's question.

Orm didn't understand Nene's reaction, but waited for her answer anyway.

“Actually…Khun Lingling went home…” Nene said, this time leaving the girl puzzled. “...She hasn't been feeling well since this morning. I think it got worse, so she decided to go home instead.”

“Oh.”

“I apologize, Khun Kornnaphat. I thought Khun Lingling told you.”

Orm waved her hands and told Nene it was okay, seeing that the latter was apologetic about it. “I was going to give this to her, but please take it instead.” She handed the take out lunch to Nene and thanked her before returning to the R&D.

Again, Orm stood inside the elevator door, leaning against the wall with crossed arms. She thought Lingling's condition must have been so bad that she was forced to take a rest. Knowing how stubborn her future wife had been so fat, she wouldn't go home if she could handle it.

‘She's old enough to take care of herself, right?’

She contemplated on messaging her, even going so far as opening their chat, but couldn't find the guts to do so.
