“Thank you for coming here, mom.” Orm hugged her mother goodbye. She drove her mother to the airport that morning before going to work.

Koy hugged her back just as tightly. “Of course.” She kissed her temple once before breaking the contact. She smiled upon seeing that her daughter was in a brighter mood now. “Looks like you had a nice sleep.”

Well, it wasn't just because Orm slept nicely the past two nights. She just felt excited that she would see Lingling again later after being away for so long. “Yes.” She grinned.

Smiling, Koy patted her head gently. “Are you excited that Lingling's coming home today?”

“Of course, mom.” Orm replied with enthusiasm, her mother found it adorable. “Is it like this with you too? Like when dad's away…and then they come home, it feels like they went to a way and you'll—” When she noticed the amused look on her mother's face, she zipped her lips, embarrassed.

Koy couldn't help but laugh, making her daughter feel more shy. Her baby was so in love, it was such a sight to behold. She was only their tiny energetic princess at the farm years back, now she would soon about to build her own family. “It does feel like that sometimes.”

Orm shook her head, smiling bashfully. That was rather cheesy. She scolded herself internally.

“I'll go in now. Remember, you two still have to talk.” Koy told her daughter.

For a moment, Orm forgot what her mother meant, but then she remembered. She nodded. “Yes, mom.”

Koy nodded. “Just be honest with each other, okay? Lingling will understand, I just know it.”

Orm smiled and nodded. She gave her mother another hug before bidding farewell. “Bye, mommy. See you next time again.”

“See you, dear. Do your best at work. Tell Lingling I said hi.”

Afterwards, Orm rode their car again. She leaned back while looking down on the phone in her hands above her lap. On the screen was their wedding photo. She started at it tenderly. Lingling’s flight was delayed for a couple of hours, but that didn't matter. She could only feel elated that by the end of the day, her wife would be in her arms again. ‘See you soon, Bubu.’

Meanwhile, in an exclusive property outside Bangkok.

“Do I really have to be here, dad?” Prigkhing annoyedly asked her father as they watched the cricket team on the field prepare for the match. She had to miss work because of it. Not that she needed to work anyway, but still.

“Of course, sweetheart! Your old man needs support. Aren't you proud of me?”

Prigkhing rolled her eyes behind those thick dark shades. Her father was acting as if he would be the one playing. He wasn't even fit for it. He was only there because he was the team's biggest benefactor. “Whatever.” She whispered, crossing her arms and legs.

They were staying on the balcony of the clubhouse of Thailand Cricket Club along with other members and benefactors.

“This is boring.” The match wasn't even starting yet.

“You should have brought Ying with you.” Prigkhing’s dad, who looked like the new Gomez Addams in bright colors, told her before sipping his whiskey. “I told you to invite your girlfriend.”

Prigkhing shighed. “She's a farmer, dad.”

Her dad's jaw dropped like she said something scandalous. “Your mom and I didn't raise you like that, sweetheart.”

Prigkhing had to shut her mouth at this odd miscommunication. “I mean, she's busy at the farm ‘coz she's a farmer, duh? I meant dad.”

“Ah.” Her father replied. “Well then, it's just you and me today.”
