“What do you think happened?” Gap motioned towards Lingling who was running on the treadmill in a visibly bad mood.

Namtan shrugged. “I don't know.” They were in their mid routine when Lingling arrived. She only greeted them with a nod before starting on her own. “I heard today is the board meeting, right?”

Gap nodded. He didn't hear anything significant from Pentaii, however. “Do you think they're fighting?”

Namtan furrowed her brows. “It's only been a week.” She silently watched Lingling from her spot. “Don't you think it's about the article online? I can't believe tabloids will do anything just to get a picture of their wedding.”

Gap chuckled. Lingling and Orm's wedding wasn't as discreet as they thought it was. “Does it matter? Freen will take it down soon anyway.”

Namtan shook her head, letting out an amused laugh. She remembered that one time, several months ago, Lingling was photographed checking in a hotel with someone. In just half an hour, there was already no trace of the photo anywhere. “Well, you're right.”

Lingling’s step wined down until the machine stopped. She grabbed her bottled water on the side and drank the remaining content. While catching her breath, she opened her phone, she realized that it was past 9 o'clock already. There was no message from Orm, so she put it down again.

‘I wish my partner would cook with me too.’

Lingling shook her head and wiped her sweat, also pushing the irritating thought aside. After an early dinner with the board members, she went back to Noiam to pass time, but couldn't concentrate, so she went to the gym instead. She was so engrossed in pouring her frustrations on working out that she didn't notice the time. ‘N'Orm's probably sleeping already.’ With a sigh, she grabbed her bag.

“Are you heading home, P'Lingling?”

Lingling was so deep in her own thoughts that she forgot that Namtan and Gap were there as well. “Yes.”

“Alright. Drive safely.” Namtan waved her goodbye.

“That's right. Go home. Your wife's surely waiting for you, uy.” Gap, on the other hand, said, lowkey scolding his friend.

‘She didn't even message me.’ Lingling pursed her lips. She decided to ignore his comment and go home.

While putting her bag on the compartment of her car, Lingling’s phone screen lit up. She immediately checked it and was disappointed that it wasn't Orm's message. Instead, it was an email from Swarovski. She almost forgot that she asked them about the flower bracelet that she saw yesterday since the design was not available in Thailand. She thought of giving her wife a bracelet to make up for her absence. She remembered her wearing bracelets with Swarovski crystals during their first meeting with their wedding organizers, so she thought she would get her a new one. Despite being upset, she decided to buy it anyway. But instead of replying, she dialed on her phone. The person picked up after a while.

“Hello, Alessandro.” Lingling spoke in English.

“Lingling, it's been a while, eh? I heard you got married.” Alessandro, Lingling’s batchmate from Wharton, spoke from the other line.

“Yes, I did recently.” Lingling answered. He congratulated her then before asking if she needed anything. “I want to ask you a favor.”

“Anything.” He said.

“I sent you a photo. Can you buy that one for me, please? It says that it's available in Italy. I'll send you the payment now if it's okay with you.”
