“Welcome to Noiam.” Lingling smiled while looking at the new employees.

As everyone was applauding, Orm stood up to greet her wife. “That was an amazing speech, Bubu.”

“Thank you.” Lingling smiled as they sat down. “I have to impress someone.”

Orm looked down and shook her head.

After the orientation, the couple walked out of the conference hall together. “We'll leave at five for dinner.” Lingling said and Orm nodded. “I'll see you later?”

“See you.” Orm smiled before parting ways with her wife. She approached Jaja who was waiting for her at the elevator.

“Going well, huh?” Jaja asked teasingly.

“Uh-huh.” Orm nodded while smiling. So far, their marriage has been perfect, almost like a dream. Lingling has always been caring and romantic. She could only hope that her wife felt the same way about her.

They rode the elevator down to the R&D Department with a couple of other employees.

“Hey, Nong, congrats on getting part of the new advertisement, by the way.”

Orm smiled. “Thank you, Phi. P'Golf and I still need to finish the script for the R&D counterpart for that.”

Jaja nudged Orm's shoulder gently. “You can do it.”

The new employees were already at the department when they arrived. Orm could see herself in them during her first day at the company. Only three months and she would have been working at Noiam for a year. Time really did fly fast.

“Good morning, everyone. I am Manager Ya and this is Khun Golf.” Manager Ya looked at the three new employees. “We are the heads of the Food Research and Development Department of Noiam Foods. And they are—” He gestured to Orm and the others. “—your seniors. If you have any questions, you can ask them or ask us. Welcome again.”

“She's the Vice Chairwoman’s wife.”

Orm overheard a new recruit say, so she looked at them and smiled.

“OMG.”

“You'll be paired with a senior employee to guide you on your first week.” Golf added.

The first two were paired with Jaja and Heng while the third one was assigned to Prigkhing.

“Hey, you.” Prigkhing called the flamboyant guy with glasses, who panicked when she called him. “You're with me. Let's go.” She said before walking off to the lab with the new employee scurrying behind her.

Orm could only shake her head. She approached Golf then. “P'Golf, would you like to go over our draft first before the meeting?”

“Oh, N'Orm. Sure, let's see that.” Golf replied.

After work, Lingling and Orm drove to the Kwong's residence to have dinner with the family since the farmer's grandmother was in Thailand for the week. Everyone was already there when they arrived. And so, they all settled down around the dining table.

“It’s so nice to see you all again. It feels like ages since my last visit.” Usha told the family. It was rather an overexpression since she just saw them at New Year's Eve. “How’s everyone doing?”

“I have rested well the past year, so I'm planning on going back to Noiam this year, mom.” Plai answered.

“Oh, Plai. Why don't you stay at home and let Lingling handle the company?”

Lingling only smiled a little.

“You can come visit me in Hong Kong and you play mahjong with me.” Usha fondly told her son.
