“The shooting for the commercial is today, right?” Lingling asked Nene as they entered the chairman’s conference room.
“Yes, Khun Lingling.”
A few weeks has passed since Anong's death, and only a week left before the submission of the proposal for the Manoban property bidding. Lingling has gathered her team to make the final edits before they send the files in. It was already Friday and the week has been very exhausting.
As they were working, Lingling kept looking over her watch. She thought she was subtle but she wasn't.
“Go.” Gap suddenly blurted out. When his friend looked at him confusedly, he rolled his eyes and motioned to the door. “I know you want to check the commercial so go instead of squirming in your seat."
Lingling straightened her back. ‘Was I that obvious?’
Nene, who was sitting adjacent to the two, pursed her lips to suppress a giggle. Lingling's aura has changed drastically over the months. She never expected to see the day that someone would make her boss all fidgety.
Gap smirked. If Freen was telling the truth, Lingling really needed to go down. “Go. We got this.” He motioned to the rest of the team.
With that, Lingling stood up followed by Nene. “I'll be back quickly.” She said her usual cool businesswoman tone before walking casually to the door. However once outside, she hurriedly walked towards the elevator not minding that her secretary could see her. ‘My wife will appear on TV soon. Wow.’ She thought while smiling. She was sure many would fall in love with her charm, and it was a bit irritating to think about, but then she is her wife so they didn't matter.
“Today and next week, right?” Lingling asked Nene the span of the shooting for all the commercial videos.
“Yes, Khun Ling.”
“Okay.” Lingling said with a rather chirpy voice while tapping her fingers on her side.
Nene stifled a laugh. She wouldn't get tired of seeing her boss like a lovesick puppy. She was touched that Lingling felt comfortable enough to act like this in front of her.
Upon reaching the floor, Lingling went out and walked to where they were shooting the commercial. She was excited about it. Well, until she wasn't. ‘What is that woman doing here?’ She frowned. She didn't like what she was seeing. Not at all.
“Khun Ying, you will stand on the left side of Chef Matthew.” Freen was the director for the shoot today. She was standing with Ying near the camera while the others were still polishing their make-up.
They made a kitchen type studio on the 7th floor of the building. The first video from the commercial series that they would upload in Noiam's website, their social media accounts and on TV composed of Chef Matthew Charoen, an up-and-coming Thai-German chef with huge following on TikTok and owner of Thai Fusion Tavern, a representative from the R&D Department, and another from Serene Sprout.
As Lingling and Nene were entering the area, the staff immediately noticed her. “It's the Vice Chairwoman.”
“Sawasdee kha, Khun Sirilak!” With that, everyone turned their heads towards her including Orm. The rest went to greet her.
Lingling greeted them back but made sure to make Ying know she wasn't fond of seeing her there.
Freen, on the other hand, smirked upon seeing her cousin. She knew well that she would eventually come down. After the CEO went back to Bangkok with her wife, she received countless teasing from their group only to end up ranting about this particular woman making moves on her wife. That was the longest message she ever sent in their GC since they created it. She meant to approach her but she saw her walking up to her wife, so she stood by and smiled.
