Warmth of the evening enshrouded me as I stepped down the porch, basking in its beauty.

The opulence of twilight pervaded the ether, turning it into a beautiful shade of saffron. Serene aura of the evening made me halt my steps midway, and behold the mesmerizing view of the sky. While I was looking at the sky, a warm breeze hit my face, making me close my eyes and allow the warmth of the air to bask in its succour.

After a few seconds of complete silence, a sound of cheerful giggles along with zealous barks grabbed my attention, causing a slow smile to emerge on my lips. I opened my eyes slowly to look at the source of cheerful giggles, and found Naina running ahead of Zoro, with his toy in her hand.

Sharda Aunty, Mom and Daadi were sitting in the sitting area situated at the centre of the garden, watching Naina and Zoro run around like babies.

Like the enthusiastic pup Zoro is, he ran behind a giggling Naina, trying his best to get a hold of his brand new toy I just bought for him. As soon as he reached closer to Naina, she threw his toy in the opposite direction, causing him to run and fetch it, excitedly.

I stood at the stony pavement, with folded hands, enjoying the innocence of the moment. My gaze shifted to Naina, a smile forming on my lips as I looked at her carefree self.

She stood there draped in her maroon Saree, her bangles rattling as she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. A constant smile embellished her face as she waited for Zoro to come back. For some strange reason, her crimson vermillion dazzled in the gloom of twilight, making her look no less than an angel.

Wait, yeh ladki Saree pehan ke bhaag kaise rahi hai?

My question was answered the very next second, when Zoro returned and they repeated the same activity a few more times. Naina ran ahead of Zoro again, holding the pleats of her Saree, her hair flowing gently as she looked back while running.

I couldn't help but chuckle at her enthusiasm. She would go to an unmatchable extent to play with Zoro but wouldn't wear a different outfit.

She has always had an unexplainable amount of obsession with Sarees. Before the wedding, she made this 'I'll wear Sarees for atleast a month after the wedding' motto for herself, and for some reason, she's still following it pretty religiously.

I once asked her the reason behind buying so many Sarees, and she just said, 'That's how a new bride should be dressed.'. Although, I do understand whatever ritual she had made before the wedding, I find it difficult to understand the reason behind her following it right now.
