"Which earring looks better?" I asked, showing two different earrings to Shubman.
Shubman looked at both of them one by one, then said, "The left one."
"Okay! It's all decided then! I just have to start getting ready now." I said, excitedly, placing the earrings on the dressing table.
Celebrating little victories is the jam, guys.
Just then, our doorbell rang, grabbing our attention.
"Must be the room service. I'll go check it. I was about to call them anyways." Shubman said, placing his jacket on the bed.
With that, Shubman walked out of the room.
"I better change in the meantime." I said, walking towards the door to lock it.
I picked up my dress and started changing.
I was in the midst of wearing my dress, when the zipper of the dress got stuck. The deep as hell zip was probably the only negative thing about this dress. I tried pulling it upwards, but it was too reluctant to comply.
"What the fuck!" I mumbled, in annoyance.
Even after multiple desperate attempts, it didn't budge. I was literally a second away from having a breakdown when the door of the room swung open.
I gasped in shock when I watched Shubman walk in. His halted his steps when his gaze landed on me, causing mine to widen more. I turned around in haste, hiding my bare back from him while Shubman turned his face in the other direction.
"Shit! I'm so sorry!" He mumbled, in panic.
"I… I locked the door." I said, aghast.
Shubman shifted his gaze to the door knob and looked at it for a moment.
"You're supposed to twist it twice, Kaddu." He said, in a gentle voice.
My eyes widened for a moment then closed in absolute embarrassment.
You absent-minded idiot!
"I'll… I'll just wait in the living room." Shubman said, reaching for the door knob.
