"Let's keep this too. It'll look good here." I said, placing a white vase with artificial sakura flowers on the dressing table.
"Kaddu, you've added four flower-vases already." Shubman said, peeking his head from the closet's door, his voice harbouring a hint of amusement.
"So?" I asked, arching my brow in his direction, my tone challenging.
A jocular smile emerged on his lips, which he bit back, and said, "So… you should add a few more."
"Better." I said, looking at him with a cheeky grin bedecking my lips. "And, yes, I will." I added, shifting my attention back to the vase.
"You know, for someone who always found this room boring, you seem pretty excited to move in." Shubman said, from the closet.
A smile emerged on my lips, which I suppressed before turning in his direction.
I am indeed excited to move in.
He was standing by the closet's door, with his arms folded and right triceps resting against the wooden frame. As usual, a playful smile was adorning his lips, along with a glimmer of mischief casting his eyes.
"Do I have any other options?" I asked, with a faint smirk.
Shubman looked at me with an amused smile, then said, "I want to say 'Do you want one?', but knowing you so well, I know you'll probably say 'Yes' then make me beg to change it. So, I want to excuse myself from the drudgery, and say, 'No, you don't have any other options'."
I couldn't help but let out a loud giggle.
Girls, this is how you train your man.
Not only was I impressed by his apt choice, I was also amused by the dialogue delivery.
"Kya baat hai, Mr. Gill! You're adapting to your role pretty quickly." I said, walking towards him.
"I don't really have an option. You'll beat me." Shubman said, jokingly.
I let out a chuckle as I reached him, standing a few steps away from him. I folded my arms, then looked at him with an amused smile embellishing my lips.
"I must say I'm impressed. I'm glad you know your place." I said, looking at his tall figure, my voice playful.
"Ofcourse, I do, Ma'am. It's here…" He said, pointing his left index towards my feet. "At the bottom of these beautiful feet." He added, responding to my wit with a similar humour.
Once again, I could help but let out an amused chuckle.
Impressive.
Suddenly, his eyes turned extremely mischievous, accompanied by an emerging smirk.
"Or, it can be on top of yo-"
Before he could finish the statement, I cut him off.
"Shut up!" I exclaimed, slapping his chest lightly. "Badtameez! Bas gandi-gandi baatein karwa lo." I added, walking past him to enter the closet.
