Chapter 76
Nat's POV

I woke up before Claire. She was fast asleep next to me, her features soft in the midst of sleep. Her long chocolate hair was fanned out on the pillow behind her. I softly kissed her on the cheek. Her eyes flutter slightly but she stayed asleep. I got up and quickly slipped into the bathroom.

The cold water from my hands splashed up on my face. I didn't drink that much last night but my head was still pounding.

Another hour of sleep would have been great.

My mind wandered to last night. I smiled at the thought of having Claire at my mercy, at how pretty she looked under me. My thoughts were interrupted by a sleepy voice.

"Nat?".

"I'll be there in a second" I called back.

The dark circles around the bottom of my eyes indicated just how tired I felt in that moment. I patted my face dry and sighed in to the towel. I had been wanting to take Claire to do something for a while now. Most of the things I loved doing and wanted to take Claire to were all closed due to the weather so they would have to wait until it warmed up a bit more. After some brain storming this morning I had finally come up with an idea. I headed out of the bathroom and was met by a sleepy looking Claire who smiled sheepishly at me. Claire extended her arms out inviting me in to cuddle her. I didn't hesitate for a second and jumped on to the bed.

"After training and breakfast this morning I want to take you somewhere" I explained.

"Where?".

"You'll see later".

"Well come on let's go" Claire said as she wriggled out of my embrace and stood up.

She made her way to the closet to start getting ready. Claire was so impatient when she knew there was something happening but didn't know any details about it. I wasn't surprised that she wanted to get up and get the day started so she could find out where we were going.

Today we focused more of combat training so most of the team had been down in the gym training together. We also spent some time in the shooting gallery for practice. Afterwards we had breakfast with everyone, followed by heading upstairs to shower and get ready for the day.

"You need to tell me where we are going so I know what to wear" Claire said.

"I know you're just trying to get me to say where we are going" I said still not wanting to give anything away. "Just wear something warm".

"Or you could just tell me what we are doing?" She requested.

"Not happening sweetheart, you'll just have to wait and see" I smiled.

She sighed in defeat and went to get dressed. Not too long after we were getting into a car and driving out of the compound. Claire quietly sang along to the playlist she had playing.

"I think it's really cute when you sing" I said.

"you have said that a few times" she laughed.

"And I'll keep saying it" I added.

"You do know you have a really lovely voice, you don't sing nearly as much as you should, I love hearing you" Claire smiled.

"Thank you sweetheart, I'll try sing more often just for you" I grinned.

I parked the car and opened my door as Claire went to open hers.

"No you don't, stay there" I instructed.

Claire tried to protest but I closed the car door behind me. I smiled at her as I walked around the car and she looked back at me with confusion written all over her face. I opened her door and offered my hand to her. Claire smiled and placed her hand in mine.
