Chapter 82
Nat's POV

The explosion rang through out the building as I dropped from the roof. The explosion was louder and bigger than I had expected it to be and glass was flying everywhere. My feet hit the ground and I could see everyone making their way out of the building to see what was going on out the front. I turned and focused on the task at hand. I saw the building plans before we got here so I knew where to go. I found what I was looking for in seconds and started copying over the data. Once the information was transferred I made my way back to the grapple hook that brought me down here. I hooked my carabiner to the end of the rope and with the push of a button I was flying back up to the roof.

In and out in 3 minutes, simple like planned.

I spoke though comms.

Nat: "I'm back on the roof. Going to the jet now. Where are you two?"

Yelena: "we're on our way"

Claire: "see you there Nat"

I reached the jet before Yelena and Claire. I got everything ready for takeoff and then went and stood at the book door waiting for them. I saw them emerge from the trees at the back of the building. They were running and pushing each other, obviously racing. I laughed to myself, they act like children together. They would reach the jet any second now so I turned to walk inside the jet.

"NO! NAT!" I heard Claire shout from behind me.

The loud crack sliced through the air after Claire's words. As I started to spin back around to look at Claire I felt the air get knock out of my lungs and I hit the ground. It was Claire who collided with me. I quickly realised that what I heard was a gun shot and Claire had pushed me out of the way of the oncoming bullet.

Was Claire hurt?

Claire scrambled on to her feet and pulled me up off the ground. Yelena ran past us and immediately got us into the sky.

Yelena came back to where we were standing and high fives Claire

"I'm impressed with your bomb Claire and cool moves with that dive tackle " Yelena laughed.

"Well the explosion was a lot bigger than I had intended it to be" Claire grinned.

I was so upset that Claire had put her self in harms way like that. I was that upset that it made me angry. My emotions bubbled over.

"No not cool. What the hell was that Claire?" I said louder than I had meant to.

I realised that I had startled Claire by raising my voice. She looked at me for a second before responding.

"I'm sorry I didn't think the bomb was going to be that big, I didn't mean it" Claire said looking cross at being told off.

"No I mean you jumping in front of a bullet to knock me out of the way" I explained.

"You mean saving your life" Claire said annoyed.

Had Claire not realised what she had done. She put herself in the line of fire to save me. I never ever wanted her to risk her own life for me. I would never forgive herself if Claire was hurt or killed trying to save me. I couldn't allow Claire to be so reckless with her life in exchange for mine. I upset and annoyed, I think I was mainly frightened that Claire had come to close to getting hurt. I didn't mean to speak to her rudely but my raised voice came from a place of frustration.

"you don't get to do that. You don't get to risk your life for mine".

"I choose who I risk my life for Nat. You don't get to say that I can't do that, expecting me to sit by and watch you get shot". Claire said
