Online dating,
I don't miss you.
Truthfully, I hope I never meet you again!!!.

I remember a year and a half of searching.
Conversations that vanished overnight.
Being stood up.
Profiles disappearing before they ever became stories.
Wondering if maybe love had forgotten my address.

Eventually I made peace with it.

I told myself, Maybe I'll stay single until I'm forty.
It wasn't bitterness.
Just exhaustion dressed as acceptance.

Then one quiet night,
I stopped trying to bargain with fate.

Lying in bed, I looked toward the ceiling and whispered into the silence,

"I'm ready to love again."

Most of my dating apps were days away from expiring.
One last chapter before I closed the book.

Then... she appeared.

A stranger with a smile that somehow felt familiar.
I took the risk.

Looking back now,
it was the greatest leap my heart has ever taken.

Has everything been perfect?

Not even close.

Love has never asked for perfection.

It has asked for patience.

It has asked for faith.

It has asked me to endure separation,
to survive silence,
to become stronger in the spaces where answers never came.

It taught me that sometimes the loudest proof of love
is choosing to stay hopeful when nothing seems to be moving at all.

I asked the universe for someone
who would feel like home.

It answered.

Not with an easy story,
but with one worth fighting for.

Some people arrive quickly.

Others arrive exactly when your soul is finally ready.

And some...

Some are simply worth the wait.
