Matsuzaki Sora stared at Shibuya Crossing with wandering eyes and thoughts. It had been five years since he stood at the crossing and a meteorite slammed down. Sora could still remember where he stood and the steel bar going into his side. Sora's fingers tapped against his fully healed (and stitched scarred) wound. Sora's boyfriend, Chishiya Shuntarō always commented that he could have done it better.

Yeah, he had.

Sora continued to stand by the edge of the crosswalk, unable to register that the signal alerted. People moved around him, a few complained that he didn't move when the crosswalk signaled them to cross. Sora was in his own head, thinking about what happened five years ago, in that very location.

He sighed heavily against the face mask.

Today wasn't a good day mentally for Sora. He was thinking too much, writing too much, unable to focus on the script that he needed to memorize for next week. Right now, he needed to focus on lying to the faces of the research study on the victims of the Shibuya Crossing explosion. Sora adjusted his cap as he waited once again to cross the busy crossing.

Sora needed to lie because he remembered the details of the borderland. He couldn't quite explain how he remembered, It started small. Minor headaches, having to wear sunglasses indoors to keep his eyes from straining. Then the first memory of his time being "dead" happened while on set – there was a planned, and safeguarded, explosion.

However, Sora saw something else when the explosion happened. He saw the burning of the Beach. It freaked him the fuck out – thankfully, everyone chalked it up to Sora experiencing PTSD from what happened to him at Shibuya Crossing. Sora was given a couple of days to settle back down, using his stand-in for those days with the nonstop controlled explosions.

At first, that was the only memory Sora had, then they just continued to come. Like one day, he was getting coffee with Kuina and suddenly, Kuina morphed into Miki Aya. Sora dropped the coffee all over himself in the process, scaring the shit out of Kuina. Again, Sora chalked it up to his anxiety was getting worse.

He was placed on medication to help with his anxiety – and it worked. For a while.

Then it felt like a freight train hitting him.

Sora began to cross the intersection to make his way to the research lab.

The memories overwhelmed Sora at one point, remembering nearly every detail of what happened to him. From the wounds, to the people, to the deaths, to Chishiya. From the very moment the couple met in the hospital, Sora just felt like they've met before. Sora couldn't put his finger on what it was at the time, but as soon as he remembered how they fucked around together, how Chishiya was the only person that Sora had this attachment to. Sora tried not to show it when Chishiya started questioning him about his sudden affection, but Sora couldn't help it.
