When it came to Sora's emergency contacts, the only person he trusted was Chishiya. So when Sora's harness came unclicked in midair while doing blocking for an action sequence, Sora's manager called Chishiya the moment the ambulance doors closed. Sora had fallen in just the right position where he missed the crash mat – Sora lost consciousness upon impact, and on the way to the hospital, Sora had died for a minute, again.
Sora was lucky that he only had a broken clavicle from the fall alone. It could have been far worse, but the main problem was Sora wasn't waking up. While his head did hit the ground, causing a lot of blood, Sora was physically in good shape. It was confirmed that Sora had some brain trauma from the fall, and yes, that gave the hospital the idea of a state of unconsciousness, but Sora should have woken up before the 24-hour mark.
Chishiya got the call just as he was heading into his counseling session for the month. He left without an explanation outside of "my partner's in the hospital." His counselor told him to just reschedule once things settled down. Chishiya sat next to Sora, going over in his head what the doctor told him. Sora was hyper-vigilant when it came to his safety on set, Chishiya wondered what happened to cause the harness to release like that.
Freak accident was what Sora's manager said.
The movie was delayed for safety reasons and for Sora.
Chishiya reached over, knowing better than to do something like this, but he needed to let Sora know he was there. He squeezed Sora's arm in a few different places, almost like he was trying to get him to wake up. Chishiya knew better than to attempt this very close to the IV sticking out of Sora's hand, it could disrupt the medication or cause serious damage.
Kuina rushed into the room, heading straight for Sora and Chishiya. "Holy shit." Kuina looked over Sora's peaceful expression as his chest rose and fell evenly. The montior peeped continously, something that made Kuina's teeth chatter. She should be used to it when it came to her mother's treatment, but it still made her anxious. "What happened?"
"Sora's harness broke." Chishiya commented lowly.
Kuina inhaled sharply. "How? Sora's the king of safety on set." Kuina helped Sora with some of his training for this movie. Sora always made sure that even then, he wasn't overdoing it and that Kuina didn't get hurt in the process if Sora fucked up.
"Freak accident." Chishiya leaned back in the chair, hand still gripping Sora's arm. "I've seen far worse than Sora. He was lucky," The words sound foreign to Chishiya as he spoke. Yes, Sora was lucky, however there was a bitter taste in his mouth. Sora wouldn't normally let this happen to himself – yes, accidents did happen on set, ones that hurt the actors and production crew, but something just didn't seem right. Sora wouldn't have gone up in that harness without checking it over himself.
