After the award ceremony, Mirio was about to leave with Nejire and Amajiki, when Sir Nighteye stopped him. "Well done Mirio." His smile was good to see, as he was normally very difficult to impress.

"It was all thanks to your guidance and my hard work, sir!"

"As it should be." He paused, before stating, "I need to take some of your time... this shouldn't be long. Only 10 minutes or so."

"Of course..." He glanced back to his friends. With a smile, he asked them to go on ahead. "Hey, can I meet up with you? Back at the usual spot?"

Completely understanding that it was his boss, the one who would be paying his bills, Nejire nodded. "Sure! C'mon Amajiki, we'll get the best table!"

Avoiding their eyes, the shy boy agreed, and they left the two behind. When they were out of earshot, the pro hero remained quiet, only stating as he started to move across campus, towards the administrative building. "Come, there is a... acquaintance of mine who wishes to speak with you."

Now that was surprising. Who could it possibly be? Why now? Gotta be because of the festival. No other possible reason. He'd already signed a contract with him...

Arriving at one of UA's meeting rooms, Nighteye opened the door for him. Smiling slightly, he stated that he couldn't stay, only stating: "I will see you next shift, Togata."

"Yes sir!" He nodded, nervousness building, until he entered... and found a younger boy sitting at the other end of the table, talking quietly with a monochromatic girl. When the door clicked closed, the two looked towards him, only making him slightly uncomfortable... "Um... should I be here?"

"Nighteye brought you." So, this was the person he was supposed to meet. With a smile, he waved, "Welcome, come, take a seat. We won't be long, but I don't want you to just stay standing. You've had a long day."

"Thanks..." With a smile, he took a seat close to them. It was now that he recognized the boy. The green hair, the serious demeanor, the emerald eyes, and the distinctive blade... it was Izuku Midoriya. The one who spoke at the Year 1 Sports Festival. He was far wiser... and just as experienced as the rest of that year, and even was on par with his own, from what he knew. The class representative who fought tooth and nail to protect his own. Against villains, and against Aizawa. While he never had Aizawa as his homeroom, Nejire did, and she never talked about that time. Still, they weren't here for him. "So, I just have a couple of questions... mainly about your quirk and who you are..."

"Before we get to that, can I ask a question of my own?"

A moment's pause, before the verdant haired boy nodded, "Sure. What is it?"

"Why am I here?"

"He didn't tell you?" There was a modicum of general surprise in his voice, and a bit of begrudging respect. Not directed towards him. If anything it seemed directed towards... "Sir Nighteye... didn't say anything?"

"No." The confusion on his expression proved enough.

A simple nod was all the other boy did before explaining, "Well... Togata... Sir Nighteye and I... are only acquaintances through circumstance. That being, well, Allmight." The mood shifted to be more somber, respectful. "He left behind a gift... to me. Something that would help a hero dedicated to their path... but I refuse to use it because of my purpose as a hero, to be one for the powerless. Accepting it would betray my principles. So... I am here to see if you are compatible for it."
There had to be more. The language Izuku used was... vague, a bit more than his liking, but for now, that was all he'd get. Still, the prospective... gift would be a game changer.

"So, first off..." Izuku pulled out a notebook, and opened it to a page... one on him. "Your quirk... it's some kind of phase shift?"
"It's called Permeation!" Mirio beamed. "It allows..."
"Allows you to weaken the bonds between your atoms, essentially allowing you to pass through objects as if you were a ghost..." Izuku noted, glancing at his partner, before looking back at him. "A very strong ability when you use it... but are there... weaknesses?"
