Stain watched over Hosu with contempt. It seems that it was the yearly corruption of potential hero hopefuls has begun... and there were whispers of something happening... soon. While the next target was Ingenium originally, the whispers of the underworld were far more concerning than his crusade for fake heroes. The Warmonger, Apollyon, the killer of the one true hero, Allmight, was going to make a move soon. He wanted to be here to strike her down himself. By killing her, the heroes would have to take his message seriously. After all, the message of blood and steel would be the only thing to be taken seriously by them, at least. He'd stain his hands with blood, if only to protect society.
If Allmight couldn't stop her, he'd die trying.
Mina wasn't quite sure what to expect, to be honest. Her inability to be at the sports festival did put a massive damper on her mood, only quelled by the fact her class had absolutely dominated the competition. Sure, there were some outliers, but her class kicked ass.
She had some catching up to do. "So... um... Awata-sensei..."
"Yes?" The blue skinned heroine smiled at her student, who, while nervous, still had a determined fire in her.
"What's first?"
"First? Well, first I want to fully assess your capabilities. I've not seen you in action, and while Blackthorne is a good heroics teacher... he keeps making his reports in Italian, which is tricky for most of the staff to read. After that, I figure working with Ectoplasm would be good practice. Not just to train your quirk, but he has some... empathy with your situation."
"Will we patrol?" She didn't want to fall behind her classmates because of remaining with U.A.
"Yeah, that'll be later in the week, but we definitely will." Arriving at a training gym, she asked, "Ready to begin?"
Grinning, she nodded, "Absolutely!"
Izuku, on the other hand, was not enjoying the patrol. It was good that his helm hid his face, otherwise... well, otherwise he'd have to hide his emotions. This was brought on by the fact that Miruko didn't have a slow bone in her body, and didn't care that she was supposed to look after her intern, diving into every conflict. By the time he arrived, huffing in his armor, she had nearly defeated the villains before leaving him to chase after her.
It was infuriating. At least it wasn't like she was Hawks, imagine trying to chase down someone who could fly faster than her?
An utter nightmare that would be. He hoped Tokoyami was doing alright with his internship, before focusing on the other.
Although, there was a silver lining to all of this. It was a great workout. And sometimes the villains weren't totally subdued. He'd had to beat down a few of the ones she refused to restrain, meaning that not only was she getting way ahead of herself, she wasn't even doing her job right.
This internship was a mistake.
But what to do? Endure, and see more of... this? More running around, cleaning up Miruko's mess? Or should he call Nezu, and state how this was a waste of time... actually, that would be a waste of time. He'd probably state how heroes don't back down from a challenge because circumstances were in the way, and that he'd agree with.
No, all he'd do would be to suck it up, and watch as she finished up her last fight of the day. Approaching him, it didn't take a genius to tell that he was... unimpressed with patrols. Not like she cared. "Alright, runt... we're done."
