Izuku didn't hide what happened from Inko, but stated that he, and the rest of his class, could handle it. After explaining the plan, she seemed to go along with it, but did want to get in contact with other parents. So... she started working with Ochako's and Reiko's that evening. In the morning, while tentative, recognized the fact that there were a lot of other teachers at UA, and that some of them had to be more reasonable. That, and Yagi, as Allmight had insisted he be called, would be teaching heroics today. And since there was a heroics class... he brought his blade with him. Getting a lot of strange looks, people assumed that it wasn't just a sword, that maybe it had a purpose? Especially once they saw his UA uniform.
Approaching the front gate, he met up with his two friends... and entered the room with 5 minutes to spare. Now that they had been there before, it was easy to navigate back to their room. They passed some grumbling students, and even some from Class B, annoyed at their absence from orientation. More stares at him once they realized he was carrying a longsword in a reverse grip... even holding onto the blade directly. Even still, there wasn't much they could do to defend themselves at this point, as time had been short.
Getting to their seats, Iida was sure to remind them that they needed to... before he was swiftly told that he was the last one to be standing upright. Amused at the theatrics, Izuku had to remind himself that Aizawa would enter shortly. He was not their friend, and he would be on
guard. Soon enough, everyone's gaze snapped to the door as Aizawa entered the room. With a satisfied expression, he walked to the podium at the front and center of the room. His voice seemed content, but all knew he could be up to something at any time. "Good. You are learning."
Learning to only take you seriously to your face, you prick.
"Now, there are a couple of announcements before your first full day of UA. I'm obliged to read this statement from the rat..." He unfolded a letter,
Rat... wait... is he referring to Nezu?
"Welcome to UA, a place of learning that is for all, not just hero classes. Today is the first true step in your careers, no matter what form that takes... you get the idea, it would be illogical to read the whole thing. Now, another, actually serious matter..."
They all tensed, dreading what was to come. Another test? A trial that would expel another? Was his bloodlust not sated?
"You need to pick a class president."
With that statement, all of the tension in the room evaporated quickly. Mina was quick to make sure she didn't laugh, just in case she said something like the day before.
Iida, unsure of how UA does this, asked, "Sir... is there a prescribed method UA has for..."
"No. I don't care how, just make sure that the Representative and Vice Representative are chosen by the end of homeroom."
Well, that cleared that up. With the directive clear, Iida immediately took charge. "Alright Class! I believe that settling this democratically, through a vote, is in our best interest!"
Mina, more hesitant due to the events of the previous day, asked, "Wouldn't people just vote for themselves?"
"Many may..." Iida stated, "but those with multiple votes will have proven themselves as having gained more trust from the class, and, therefore, are more worthy of the position."
That seemed to be enough for everyone else, and so, there was 30 seconds of glorious silence. Even from Bakugo, who quickly wrote down his name on one of the given slips of paper from Iida.
After the votes were collected and tallied... Izuku couldn't believe it. 15 votes for him. The clear winner. It was... shocking. He'd never been liked by his previous classes... and now he was the clear favorite.
