Chapter three: ilomilo

"Halley there is no way in hell we're watching life in the dreamhouse." Billie snickered on the seat next to me.

"Why not? that movie was fucking scary dude I just need something to watch to help me with the nightmares." she just shook her head and laughed.

"It honestly wasn't even that scary Hayles." Zoe chimed in laughing. I stared at her in disbelief

"Really Zoe? you of all people didn't find that scary? you're literally the epitome of a scaredy cat." she gasped giving me a light punch on my arm.

"seriously though can we please please please watch something happy or something unless you want me to keep you guys up all night?"

"Fine how about we watch grown ups I know how much you love that movie" Billie said grabbing the remote to switch the channel to Netflix.

I nodded grateful that she understood my fear.

"Wait don't start it yet I have to go pee." Zoe stated running on her tiptoes down the darkened hallway.

I had messaged Jayce a little while ago but I've yet to hear anything back. Checking my phone once more for the hundredth time tonight I sighed as I seen I was left on delivered two hours ago.

I smacked my lips in frustration throwing my phone on the empty side of the couch next to me.

"Still nothing?" Billie asked.

"Nope and it's getting real frustrating it's like he wants me glued to his side 24/7 but when we're not together or something he never messages me."

"Okay mamas how about you forget about ol jayce and worry about the time you're having now. I'm here, Zoe's here we're having a great time watching movies we're about watch your favorite, just try your best to enjoy yourself to night."

I crossed my arms in thought nodding to her words.

"Yeah besides it's supposed to be a phone free, boyfriend free night so just enjoy it while it lasts." Zoe said walking into the living room.

I smiled nodding once again.

Billie pulled me into her side cuddling me wrapping her arm around my waist. I pulled my legs up on the couch snuggling into her more.

I couldn't help but check my phone every few minutes in hopes of seeing a message from jayce but of course I never received one. I guess Billie noticed as she made a grabby hand gesturing to hand her my phone. I looked up mouth agape as I tried to protest.

But she shook her head closing her eyes as she made the same gesture again for my phone. I sighed handing it to her. She put the phone on the small table next to the couch.

I crossed my arms half jokingly and let out a small humph through my nose. She chuckled bringing my head back to her shoulder kissing the top of my head.

"Huff all you want ma, you're gonna enjoy yourself tonight." She mumbles her lips on my head.

I smiled lightly before finally enjoying the movie.

Zoe was the first to fall asleep popcorn and pieces of candy wrappers strewn around her. I felt myself getting a little sleepy and my head would drop forward every few seconds.

Billie took notice giggling to herself as she placed her hand at the top of my forehead to keep my head from snapping forward again.

"Get some sleep baby girl." Was all I needed to hear before finally closing my eyes my head rested on her shoulder.

I awoke sometime later my bladder being full giving me slight cramps and slight restless leg syndrome. I looked up seeing as I was laid on billies chest one arm slung over her eyes as the other was hanging over the couch. I looked towards the TV as the occasional movie posters popped in and out on the Netflix idol screen.
