It has been a lifelong dream of Billie's to have kids of her own. Ever since she could remember that's all she could think about, getting married, sharing children with that one person she adored and loved. She's watched the way her parents were with each other and how loving and supportive they were with her and her brother how no matter what they chose they knew full well their parents always had their back.

That's how she aspired to be. if her kid ever came up to her and told her they wanted to be the most outrageous (but logical) thing, you can bet your ass Billie would be the loudest person cheering in that room.

Now that it's come to fruition, she couldn't be happier than what she is right now. Since she's received the news that her wife was now carrying their child. She wasted no time shopping for everything Halley and the baby needed.

She was over the moon excited. so much so that by the time Halley reached her second term. the former guest room now turned nursey's closet was now filled to the brim with baby clothes, diapers, etc. ranging from newborn all the way up to 12 months.

Some were bought by Billie, and some were brought by family, friends and even brands congratulating the two on their pregnancy.

"Uh Sweetface, don't you think this is a bit much?" Halley asked as they spent that night washing, folding, and putting away every single clothing item, bags/ boxes of diapers, baby bottles. the list goes on.

"You can never be too sure my love." Billie said.

"Even if we have to change her every hour we will."

It became a routine almost immediately for Billie. every morning she'd shower her wife in kisses till she would awaken, then trailing down to her ever-growing belly she'd place her two hands on her stomach press her nose against it and whisper to the baby. sometimes in silly voices.

One particular morning was different, however. and the words Billie had spoken to their unborn child could've made Halley melt right there.

She was just coming out of her slumber, when she heard a sweet voice talking quietly. not wanting to ruin the moment she opened her eyes slightly to see Billie, peeks of her red roots in view right next to her stomach an arm wrapped protectively around her waist.

"And you're going to grow up and be the smartest, most powerful woman in the world. you're going to be strong like your mommy, funny like Uncle Finny, passionate like Grandma Maggie, loving like Grandpa Patrick, and not to boast but a freaking genius like your mama."

Halley did her best to hold in her smile.

"I made your mommy this promise some time ago, but now that i have both of you to look after. I'm promising you too. I promise to protect you with every fiber of my being. I promise to always be there for you from your first scrape on your knees to your first heartbreak. I'll always be your biggest supporter. I'd go to the ends of the earth to make sure you and your mommy and your future siblings will have anything and everything you could ever dream of. I promise I'm going to love you all till the day that I die."

Billie had wanted to take Halley out on a little date one day, so they packed up a lunch bag and headed to the park that had become like a second home to them.

They sat eating and watching all the little kids play on the playground saying how they couldn't wait until they were able to run and play with their child.

The sun was then starting to set, the sky that beautiful orange and pink glow.

The park slowly started to become empty with everyone starting to head home.
