Two weeks until the 'Big day!'
Marking down the days I smiled widely as I looked at the calendar, we were getting closer and closer to our big day. I really couldn't be more excited for it. Today, Claudia, Zoe, Maggie and I were finally going dress shopping. We had already picked out the bridesmaids and maid of honor's dresses, but I was so undecisive on what I wanted so I (unintentionally) waited until the last minute.
Don't ask.
We arrived at the bridal boutique shop making our way in. A lady formally dressed approached us with a smile.
"Welcome are you, Miss. Carson?" I nodded. She then motioned me to follow as we did, she asked questions about what style I had in mind. I was a simple person, not really into much shiny or extravagant things on a dress.
"Well, we have just what you're looking for I'll have my assistant help me find a couple of things I have in mind for you."
"Are you excited?" Claudia asked once the woman left. She was practically bouncing in her seat.
I nodded smiling widely.
"I just didn't think it was going to come so fast."
As we sat and talked the lady that helped us earlier along with her assistant brought in a couple of dresses for me to try out.
So, after many, many tryouts I've finally found the one that felt like it was made just for me.
"I think you look absolutely beautiful sweetheart." Maggie said tears forming in her eyes.
"I'd agree I think this is the one for you." Zoe said as Claudia nodded. I turned to the full-sized mirror my eyes trailing the dress from top to bottom. my hands ran up and down on the smooth silk material. it wasn't too flashy or too poofy. it was simple. just like me.
"Yeah, this one's it." I smiled.
One week until the 'Big day!'
We were currently finishing up the last touches, confirming reservations for flights, hotels, venues etc. Billie, Zoe, Claudia, Patrick, Finneas, Claudia and I are currently packing the 'thank you' party favors.
"Zoe! Don't be eating the damn candy, they're supposed to be for the party gifts!" Billie exclaimed laughing after.
"Took you a while to notice I got down to nearly half the damn bag." Zoe laughed.
"Babe, it's fine let her have that one, pretty sure we'll have like five bags left over." Zoe then stuck her tongue out at Billie which resulted in Billie throwing a candy at her.
After finishing up the party favors, we had about 3 large boxes full.
Billie knew a lot of people.
We said goodbye to everyone and thanked them for their help. Billie went into the bathroom to get a bath going while I got our night clothes and towels together. She stepped in first once it was filled and motioned for me to follow. she laid us back, my back against her front as we laid there taking in the hot water. I sighed in content, closing my eyes.
Music was quietly playing in the background on the little radio we always kept inside the bathroom.
"Have you gotten in contact with your parents yet?" My eyes immediately shot open. I guess I never really mentioned my parents before. I was always closer to my mom rather than my dad. My dad was very... conservative to say the least, he didn't really like the way Billie and I were with each other. he especially did not like the way she dressed. He even tried to prevent us from seeing each other to which I fought like hell to prevent that from happening. Like I said before we always had romantic feelings for each other since we were young.
