Chapter four: Good luck, babe!

"He asked you to move in with him?"

I was currently back at my apartment I called Zoe and Billie over, they sat on my bed as i paced back and forth in my room.

"Yes!" I said stressfully running a hand through my hair gripping at the roots.

"I mean honey is that honestly a bad thing? I mean it's about time he asked you. you've been together for about longer than a year now." Zoe said.

"Two actually." I corrected her bringing my finger to mouth biting down lightly on it.

I stopped to look at both zoe and Billie biting my lip in thought. I noticed Billie glance at her, sad expression on her face.

"I mean I'm not saying it's a bad thing I mean- I don't know it's just all new to me I've never moved in with a person I was dating! mainly cause it never really lasted this long!" I returned back to pacing around my room.
"And like what if we break up? obviously, I'm not going to be able to come back to this place if I tell my apartment manager I'm moving!"

"We'll cross that bridge when we get to it. Halley, honestly stop stressing about it I mean who knows maybe you guys might last until you're both old." Zoe was always the rational person of the group.

I noticed Billie wasn't saying much. She got almost completely quiet after I told them about moving in with Jayce. the only time she spoke up when she questioned about Jayce asking moving in together. She just sat there fidgeting with the many rings on her fingers.

I sighed sitting at the edge of the bed facing them my elbow propped up on my knee running my hand through my hair once again. Zoe moved from her spot on the bed to come and sit next to me. she put her arm around me laying her head on my shoulder.

"Listen just try it out, you know dip your feet into new waters, you never know how it's gonna work out for you Hayles." I smiled leaning my head on hers.

"And when it all goes to shit not saying it will. but if it does you know Billie and I will always be there for you. right Bil?" Zoe turned to Billie seemingly pulling her from her thoughts.

"Of course, you know I'll always be here for you baby girl." She smiled softly towards me, a hint of sadness behind her eyes.

"You're right. i don't know what I'm stressing about I should just go with it right?"

"Exactly." Zoe said chuckling.

It was moving day with the help of Zoe, Finneas, Claudia, Billie and Jayce, things went pretty smooth and quick. Although the tension in the room was pretty obvious due to Billie and Jayce being in the same room together, I did notice they tried their best to be cordial with each other.

"I'll be waiting in the truck my love." Jayce said pulling down the sliding door to the back of the moving truck before he came and kissed my cheek and leaving to get in the driver's seat.

I turned to the rest to give them a hug thanking them for their help.

"Anytime Halley, you're family." Finneas said rubbing my back as he hugged me.

Once I got to Billie, her bottom lip was sticking out giving me a sad face.

"Oh, honey it's not like I'm moving out of state don't be so sad." I giggled. My face matching hers. she wrapped her arms around my waist securely nuzzling her face into my neck.

"I'm just happy for you baby girl, everything's gonna work out perfectly for you."

I gave her one last squeeze before waving off everyone walking backwards, Blowing a not-so-subtle kiss to Billie. She 'caught' it holding it close to her heart.
