"Billie!"
"Yes mama!" She yelled back from the living room. I was currently getting ready for Claudia's bachelorette party I was running a couple of minutes behind originally supposed to be leaving the house at six it is currently 6:15 the party starts at 6:30.
I know it wouldn't really matter being about 10 minutes late, but I like to get to my events early. don't ask why.
Searching on my hands and knees I was looking for my other shoe, the room was a bit messy from our clothes being scattered about throughout the room. We just really didn't find the time to clean or put anything away yet. that and we've just been way too lazy or tired to even do anything.
Which I was regretting now because I like to be organized, being able to find what I need when I needed it was huge to me. I had asked Billie if she's seen the shoe i was looking for but of course she didn't know either. So, she joined me in looking.
"Found it!" she shouted from the other side of the bed. Standing up on my knees her hand was sticking straight up from the other side shoe in hand. I sighed in relief getting up to stand on my feet meeting her around the bed to take my shoe.
"Thanks honey." I said putting my shoe on.
"You ready?" I nodded.
As always, she opened the car door for me and closing it after I got in starting off to our destination.
I would be the only one going to the bachelorette party however, Billie was joining her brother at some bar downtown while Claudia held her party at the house.
I was kind of nervous being away from Billie. We literally have been glued to the hip ever since... everything. although things have gotten a little better, they're not fully there yet. I've started seeing my therapist again which helps a little but once I'm home sitting in bed at night staring straight at the ceiling while Billie sleeps, I have no choice but to be alone with my thoughts.
which is a scary thing.
Insomnia's a bitch.
The thought never left my mind that day though but I'm keeping strong as best as I could to still continue living. Soley for the sake of Billie.
Just as promised Billie did in fact sort things out. Jett was fired with no severance pay along with some threats that went as quote:
"If you ever show your face here or anywhere near here again it'll be the last thing you do, I'll make sure everyone would forget your pathetic ass even existed."
The way she explained how it looked like he might've shit his pants made me regret not being there to witness.
The woman she is.
I certainly do not deserve her.
Soon enough we arrived at Claudia's with a minute to spare. how she never gets pulled over for speeding just amazes me.
Hopefully it stays that way.
Claudia was outside in her party outfit looking beautiful as ever, she stood at the doorway of the front door with a big smile on her face waving at us as we pulled into the driveway.
Grabbing the gift bag and making sure to kiss Billie goodbye she stopped me placing a hand on my arm before my hand even reached the door handle. I turned to look at her, brows raised in question.
"You already know the drill baby, if you feel uncomfortable stick next to Claudia if you want to come home, I'm just a phone call away." giving her a lopsided smile I leaned over the console kissing her once again.
