I'm driving as fast as I can, Kenzy's tears have now caught up with the situation, so she is frantic in the back seat. I'm scared out of my mind, I don't know if this is it, if I spent my last moment chastising him for throwing my sister, which seems so stupid now. What if he dies?
I won't be able to live with myself. I will probably be the most depressed person there is,my dad was right when he said I found my true love. My dad has never been more correct about anything else in the world, but why does it have to be so? Don't I deserve a happy ending?
I can't believe I haven't reached the hospital yet, it's just a few miles away, it shouldn't take so long.
All of a sudden, an idiot ran the light and cut me off, "Shit!" I exclaimed, slamming my palm on my steering wheel. Honestly, I've never let a word like that slip from my mouth because I'm completely mortified by how people use them, but right now, I could care less. Even if Kenzy just heard it.
"Please, just drive Klo. You won't get in trouble from driving away, Mommy did this before." Kenzy assured me from behind. I'm not exactly sure what she meant from that, I don't recall my mother rushing to the hospital for anything before. But honestly, I have bigger problems to deal with.
I started down my path again, swirling around the huge black truck. I turned to check on Brayden, his head was on the center console, almost looking detached from his body. I took one of my hands from the wheel and propped his head on my shoulder. Although, to do this I had to move over towards him, but all the discomfort seemed so minimal in the whole scheme of things.
Finally, I see the hospital. The irony of the situation was hilarious. I hate hospitals, and after having surgery on my eye when I was a kid, I vowed to never put myself into a situation where I would need to even be near one again. But here I am, bringing my boyfriend to the hospital because he might very well be dead.
"Kenzy, I'm going to pull up," I began, looking at her from the rear view mirror. "And you're going to run inside and say that I need help okay?"
Kenzy, wiping away what might have been all the tears she was able to hold in such a petite little body, nodded her head. She began to unbuckle, preparing as I pulled up to the front.
She jumped out, already beginning to scream, "Help. Somebody help me please! My brother is passed out and we don't know what's wrong..." And she was inside. I reached, unbuckling Brayden, and watched as a few nurses raced through the doors, one of them holding Kenzy in her arms. I got out of the car, running to the other side.
As I opened the door, I watched as a male nurse draped Brayden's arm around his shoulder and lifted him from the car. Another man ran out with a wheel chair, which was kind of strange considering his state, but I didn't mind as long as he was getting inside the hospital.
I got my phone from my pocket, "Now, here comes the hard part." It was Brayden's mom, probably calling to see if he was still with me. "Hi Mrs. Turner. You need to get to the hospital, now."
