Leviticus' face was dark as he drive the car away. The night was dark and the rain was heavy but he didn't care about that. He is angry with his father for wanting to marry him to a woman he doesn't love. She only wants to marry one person and that is none other than Saint. The woman he loves and cherish.
His cell phone on the dashboard rang so he reached for it. But suddenly it slipped and fell to the floor of his car.
"Damn! " He was irritated and bent down for a moment to look for the cellphone. When he saw it and was about to reach it, suddenly someone honked loudly in front of him. It was too late for him to turn the steering wheel because his car had hit the front of the track that he had collided.
Due to the force, he also hit his head to the steering wheel hard. While the glass of his car was broken. And he was as if deafened by the impact of its force. He felt the flow of blood on his forehead and the broken glass that hit different parts of his body.
"S-Saint." He softly whispered into the air before he passed out.
And when he wakes up he remembers nothing. He didn't even know his name. Who are his parents and friends. But there were two old couples who introduced themselves as his parents. There were also four men who introduced themselves as his friends and the last one was a woman who introduced herself as his fiancee. The woman's name is Samantha. They were supposed to get married this month, as what his father said to him. Yeah, this month because he was in a coma for three months. Because of that their marriage was moved.
He stared at the woman. She is beautiful, with short shoulder-length hair. Her skin is white and she has a curvy body. And the way she dress, looks so elegant. But no matter how he looked at the woman, he didn't even feel attraction. His heart didn't even beat for her.
Is it possible that it's because of his accident or he just doesn't really love the woman?
He shook his head weakly. He might not agree to marry her if he doesn't want to. Maybe it's just because of his accident. Baka nanibago lang talaga siya sa babae.
"I'm full. " he said briefly when she was about to feed him again. Ayaw niya sa presensya ng babae at mas lalong ayaw niyang sinusubuan siya nito. Pero dahil hindi niya pa kayang i-angat ang kanyang kamay ay wala na siyang ibang nagawa kundi ang magpasubo dito kahit ayaw niya.
"But you only ate a little." She insisted. He wanted to get irritated with Samantha but he stopped himself. Instead, he smiled at her sparingly.
"You don't need to feed me anymore, Samantha. I'm really full, and one more thing. If I'm hungry, I'll eat." he said.
Nakita niya ang palihim nitong pag-irap.
She stood up and took the shoulder bag and slung it over her shoulder. "Alright, after all, me and my friends have to go to mall. We're having a window shopping. You know, we haven't been together for a long time because I've been watching over you here. I'll just come back tonight." After that she said her goodbye to him.
When he nodded, she quickly left. That's also one of the things he notices on Samantha. It's like she's forced to watch over him here in the hospital. Though, he doesn't need her coz he can handle himself.
He took a deep breath and leaned against the headrest of the bed. A few days have passed since he regained consciousness. And his chest was so heavy as if he was looking for something that he couldn't determine what.
When he was well, he was immediately discharged. And he was very grateful because he was bored in the hospital. He did nothing but eat and sleep.
"Bud! I'm glad that you're okay and out of the hospital now. I'm sorry if I didn't visit you on your last day in the hospital. I had an out of town business meeting." Miguel apologizes. One of his friends who introduced himself when he woke up from a deep sleep.
"Me too bud. It's Blaire and I's Second Anniversary. We went to Palawan to celebrate our anniversary there." Caleb's seconded.
Nakaiintindi siyang tumango.
"It's fine, I understand. Liam and Oliver were there." he pointed to his two other friends who were now next to him on either side of him. They are at a high end bar now. They celebrated his fast recovery.
"By the way bud. Saan ka ba nagsusuot no'ng nag camping tayo sa bundok? Bigla ka nalang nawala ng isang linggo. Pagkatapos noon, bigla ka nalang lumitaw sa inyo." Kunot noo na tanong sa kanya ni Oliver.
His forehead furrowed at his question. He was about to ask him when Miguel playfully hit Oliver in his arm.
"Gago! Tinanong mo pa talaga. E, alam mo namang may amnesia 'yung tao. Malamang wala 'yang maalala sa naging camping natin." Singhal ni Miguel kay Oliver. Napakamot batok naman ang huli.
"Sorry bud, nakalimutan kong may amnesia ka pala." Kamot batok nitong sabi.
Napailing ang lahat sa ka-lutangan nito.
"You know what. I am really mystified by your engagement with Samantha. I mean, we all know that you are not close to Samantha. Then we just found out that you two are engaged? You know, maybe you two just agreed for the merging of your company. And if you're in your right mind now. I know you don't want to get married this early." Everyone immediately agreed with what Liam said. While he fell into a deep thought.
He thought that too. Especially because he didn't even feel that the woman was special to him.
"Pero malay natin. Baka mahal mo talaga ang babaeng 'yun. Pero ang malas mo naman kung sa kanya ka mapupunta. Mamumulubi ka talaga kung sakaling maging asawa mo ang babaeng 'yun. Ang hilig hilig ba namang mag shopping. Ang mamahal pa." Naiiling na dagdag ni Caleb.
"That's fine. Leviticus is rich." Miguel said with a smirk and drank some wine.
"Ito, uminom ka nalang. Iinom mo nalang lahat ng mga problema mo sa buhay." Liam laughed and filled his glass with wine.
"May naisip ako. " biglang sabi ni Oliver at umayos ng upo. Umayos rin sa pagkakaupo ang lahat dahil sa kuryosidad.
"Ano? " naiinip na tanong ni Caleb.
Oliver looked at him deeply, that made his forehead knotted.
"What if may nakilala kang babae sa bundok and you fell in love with her?" He suddenly asked. His friends frowned at Oliver's question. While he was stunned. And suddenly his heart beat fast. It was as if excited by Oliver's question.
"Tanga! Sino naman ang makikilala ni Leviticus doon? E, bundok iyon. Wala ngang nakatira doon e. Baka kapre, Oo." Nakasimangot na sabi ni Liam.
"Kahit kailan talaga bud. Bupols ka." Miguel said making Oliver frown.
"It's just a guess."
Umiling ang lahat.
"Sige, hulaan mo rin kung ano ang mangyayari sayo kapag hindi mo pa tinikom 'yang bibig mo. " dagdag ni Caleb na ikinatahimik ni Oliver.
They continued to drink. When one o'clock in the morning came, they decided to go home.
