Wanda was avoiding everyone the next day. She couldn't be sure who Wednesday was going to tell about her being a warlock. Maybe she already told Enid. Maybe Enid would tell the others. She knew she probably wouldn't, but she had also thought Wednesday wouldn't break into her room and steal her Book of Shadows. She didn't know who to trust anymore. So she avoided everyone. Sadly including her new girlfriend. It was easy with magic. And it's not like she slept, so she didn't need to be in her dorm later that night.
The others were worried when she didn't join them for breakfast or lunch. She didn't even go to fencing club that morning or her afternoon club with Ajax. So now the group was gathered in the quad after classes trying to figure what was going on while Bianca and Ajax were freaking out the most.
Enid sighed. "Wednesday did something to make her mad last night." She hadn't wanted to tell them, but seeing how worried Bianca and Ajax were, she felt like she had too. Besides, she's tried to get Wanda to talk to her, but she keeps using her magic to get away. "But neither will tell me what happened."
Bianca gritted her teeth and silently stood up before leaving.
Enid groaned and laid her head on the table. "And everything was so perfect before we got back."
"What do you mean?" Divina asked.
"As of yesterday, me and Wanda are girlfriends." The others burst into cheers and various words of celebration. Enid began to blush, so she was glad that her face was covered.
Meanwhile, Bianca was on the warpath. She stormed through the school looking for Wednesday, only to finally find her in the library. She was talking Thornhill so she waited until the teacher left. Then she stormed up to Wednesday and shoved her back by the shoulder. "What the hell did you do to my best friend?"
Wednesday caught her footing after stumbling back and glared at her. She had been kind of expecting this interaction, but she had been also doing her best to ignore everything that happened by distracting herself. At least now she finally knew where the symbol on the page was from. If only she had figured it out before making the biggest mistake of her life. But she didn't need Bianca to tell her how she fucked up. She hated herself enough for it. "Nothing that concerns you."
"Like hell it doesn't. She's been avoiding everyone all day because of something you did." She pointed aggressively at her at the 'you'. "So I ask again; what the hell did you do?"
"If I told you, she would avoid you even more."
"I'm not playing, Addams!" She slammed the side of her first on the bookshelf. "Wanda doesn't think I know, but she's fucking depressed, okay? I've lost count of how many times I've heard her crying at night, especially around this time of year. And now she's avoiding everyone like a suicidal person might do before killing themselves. So what the fuck did you do to my best friend?"
Wednesday gritted her teeth. She recalled the rule in Wanda's book about not being allowed to harm herself. Specifically in regard to her family's death, but that still means she's probably done it before. "I broke her trust. That's all I can share."
"You better fucking explain more."
"I learned something she didn't want me or anyone else to, so unless you want her even more upset I cannot tell you more."
Bianca gritted her teeth. "Fine. But you better fix this."
"And how do you suggest I do that?"
"Have you even tried apologizing?" Wednesday was silent, making Bianca laugh bitterly. "Of course you haven't. Fucking apologize to her, promise not to tell anyone whatever it is you know, and then stay the hell away from her. Because I don't give a shit if she has a crush on you, she doesn't need you giving her anymore problems."
