The next few days were hard for everyone. Wednesday was feeling guilty about what happened to Eugene. If only she had talked to him before the dance about her change of plans. Maybe he might not have gone by himself. And even if he would have, Tyler wouldn't have known to go interfere. It was her fault and she knew it. Enid and Wanda have been trying to convince her otherwise, but she wasn't sure how much she believed them.

On a happier note, Bianca, Yoko, and Divina finally got together. It took Bianca marching up to them and yelling at them that she loved them. They said they loved her too and it was all finally settled. The others were extremely happy for them and Bianca even told Enid and Wanda to tell Wednesday she said thanks. It looked like the two were finally getting along.

Now it was Wednesday, and Wanda was no where to be seen once again. She had been doing a lot more pranks lately, and Enid was constantly writing about them on her blog. But it was starting to get concerning, how many she was doing. It was like she had fully gone off the rails. Enid figured maybe this was her coping with what happened to Eugene, so she didn't mention it.

But she was only half right. Wanda was using her pranks to cope, or rather to distract herself, but it had nothing to do with Eugene. It had to do with October 28th, three days away, and the one hundred year anniversary of her family's death. Wanda didn't want to break down early, so she busied herself with endless pranks and moments of happiness that never lasted this time of year.

Ajax was getting increasingly stressed as the days went by. But no one knew why Ajax was worried about Wanda, because to everyone else she was the same as always. Smiles and laughter, acting weird and pulling pranks. No one knew the rage and sadness that was bubbling right beneath the surface as Saturday neared. Though Wednesday was beginning to worry as well. Especially when she remembered that Wanda told her October 28th was when her family died.

So Wednesday went and found Enid to practice that communication that Wanda's always talking about, but apparently doesn't like to engage in herself. "Enid, we may have a problem," she said when she walked into their dorm where Enid was doing homework on her bed.

She looked up worried. "What is it?"

"Wanda."

Enid sighed relieved, thinking it was something bad. "Is this about all her pranks?" She looked back down at the math sheet she was doing. "Because I think that's just how she's coping with Eugene."

"I don't think it has to do with him."

"What else would it have to do with?"

"Her dead family."

Enid looked back up at her surprised. "Her family's dead?" She covered her mouth with her hand. "Shit, that's right, she's not a vampire." She always just thought Wanda had a vampire parent, but since she's not one, that would mean her family died a long time ago.

"She told me they died on October 28th, which is this Saturday."

Enid lowered her hand. "You think that's what causing her to act weird." It was more of an observation than a question.

Wednesday nodded nonetheless. "And since I'm supposed to be honest, Ajax made her go to a therapy session back during my first week here. We had back to back appointments and I overheard her saying she blamed herself for killing people. I'm assuming her family. And when I read her book of shadows, there was rule saying she's not allowed to hurt herself over her family's death. Indicating she likely has before. Bianca also said she knows Wanda's depressed, especially around this time of year. But October 28th is also the same day she made her pact with her patron to become a warlock."

Enid just blinked a few times to take all that in. Then she remembered the first song they overheard Wanda sing. It all made sense put together. She couldn't believe she never realized any of it. She could blame not noticing Wanda's depression on not knowing her for the last two years. But what about the last two weeks of dating? She feels like she should've seen it or something. She set her homework down and stood up with a new found urgency. "We should find her."
