Wanda and Wednesday were now walking to the Weathervane, hoping to look at its back board to maybe find some information. "We should ask a local," Wednesday suggested. "I propose Tyler." She wouldn't if she didn't think it was necessary. But they need information.

"Ugh Tyler," Wanda groaned. "Why? He sucks moose tits."

"Of that, you and Xavier are in agreement."

Wanda shuddered. "Never put me and him in the same sentence. But seriously, why Tyler? He's a piece of shit."

Wednesday crossed her arms. "And yet no one will tell me why."

Wanda rolled her eyes, not even wanting to talk about it. "Him and his friends beat up Xavier last year. It was pretty bad. But of course they all got away with it thanks to Tyler's dad."

"He has court mandated therapy," she recalled the last time Tyler decided to talk to her against her will.

"Right, because that punishment fits the crime."

"It was the punishment for my crime."

"Oh yeah." Wanda honestly forgot about that. "But before you put yourselves in the same boat, what did you actually do? Because I've only heard the rumors."

Wednesday sighed, deciding it best to tell the truth. "Some boys were bullying my younger brother. I made them regret it."

Wanda grinned. "See. You were stopping bullies. Tyler was the bully. You are not the same."

"I see." Wednesday didn't like Tyler to begin with, but now she really didn't. She didn't understand why Xavier couldn't just tell her that. Not that she even wants Xavier to talk to her, but still.

They reached the Weathervane and walked in. They went to look at the back board for some information. Only they weren't finding any. Unfortunately, some white twink thought that meant he could talk to them. "I thought you were supposed to be at Pilgrim World," Xavier spoke more to Wednesday than Wanda.

They turned to him and Wednesday replied, "I deserted it while my sanity was still intact." They turned back to the board in hopes he would get the message to stop talking to them.

He did not. "Oh yeah? You want a coffee? It's one of the many perks of this wonderful assignment." The sarcasm was clear.

And honestly, for the first time, Wanda actually felt kind of bad for him. What dumbass teacher thought it was a good idea to assign Xavier to the Weathervane after what happened last year? It's not like it's random. Their names are on the assignments, they just never check to see who has switched. So this was honestly a pretty fucked up thing to do to him. Forcing him to work with his assaulter.

Wednesday turned and walked over to him, so Wanda joined as well. "We're actually here for Tyler."

Xavier scoffed. "I told you he was bad news."

"And Wanda's already told me why. But who I speak to and why I do it is my business." She then turned to the little gold bell on the counter and pressed, making it ring out.

Tyler walked out from the back and saw them all. "You rang?" Xavier scoffed and walked away. "Want the usual?"

"And some help." Wednesday pulled out a map and walked over to an empty booth to lay it out while Wanda stood off to the side keeping a close eye on Tyler. "You know the original pilgrim meeting house, the one from the 1600s? Do you know if it's still around?"

"What's left of it is out in Cobham Woods, but it's pretty much a ruin," Tyler answered.

"Show me." Wednesday gestured to the laid out map of town.
