It was now Friday afternoon, and Enid and Wanda were sitting on one of the low walls where some bushes were while waiting for Wednesday. Wanda had her head on Enid's shoulder, simply enjoying the contact that she could now have openly. "I do really appreciate you helping," Enid told her. "I know Bianca might get mad at you later."

"Might?" Wanda chuckled. "The only thing I've heard her talking about today is winning the Poe Cup. I think everything that happened with Wednesday and me has really fired her up."

"Then I appreciate you taking the fall for us." She planted a kiss on the top of her head, making Wanda smile and snuggle closer.

A few seconds later, Wednesday walked up to them. They stood up and Enid leaned in close to Wednesday, shoulders touching, while Wanda stayed on Enid's other side. "We're all set," Enid whispered.

"Good," Wednesday said, fighting her racing heart at the contact of Enid's arm against hers. "Thing's in position."

"Wanna tell what you two were up to all night?"

"And spoil the surprise?"

Enid turned to her with a wide smile. "Speaking of surprises, your costume's in the tent."

Wednesday turned to her with eyes slightly widened in panic. "Costume?"

—————

Wednesday walked out of the changing tent in a black leather catsuit and black cat ears adorned on her head. Enid rushed up while Wanda walked. "OMG, you look purr-fect!" Enid ended the sentence with raising her hands like cat claws. Wanda had to agree. Though she couldn't decide if Wednesday looked cute, or hot. "Only thing, where are your whiskers?"

Wednesday turned to finally look at her. "Ask again, and you'll be down to eight lives."

But Enid smiled anyway, knowing Wednesday wouldn't actually hurt her.

Sometime later, they were all stationed in their boats, waiting for Weems to give her little speech and then start the race. Enid gave one final wave and a blown kiss to Wanda before she walked off to circle the lake on the other side to be ready to jump in. She reached the same pier Kent was waiting at and smiled.

"Kent!" She exclaimed, making him jump and turn around. "How ya doin'!"

He smiled at the sight of her. "I'm good. But what are you doing over here?"

"Same thing as you. Only not for the same team."

He chuckled. "Bianca's not gonna like that."

Wanda shrugged. "But Enid will."

"I thought it's supposed to be bros before hoes."

"Up until the bro takes beating the 'hoe'," she did quotation marks with her hands, "a little too far. Ya know she went to talk to Xavier?"

Kent gasped. "No." Wanda nodded making Kent sigh. "Oh Bianca, raise your standards girl."

"Right!" Wanda shook her head. "So I'm hoping losing might get her head out of her ass."

Right then Weems shot her pistol with the blank and the race started. Wanda and Kent looked down the lake when it went off, but when they looked back at each other, Kent's eyes focused behind her instead. He jumped back. "What the fuck!"

Wanda quickly spun around. There stood her red cloaked, theater mask wearing friend. For once she was happy that Kent already knew about her magic. It allowed her to immediately point at the figure and shout, "Not this time!" A pink energy bursted out from the figures mind making them shout in pain and grab their head. They kind of sounded female. But then they disappeared in a swirl of blue energy; a teleportation spell. Only this time, Wanda knew exactly where they had gone. Sixty feet straight ahead. The spell had worked. She could track them now as long as she held her concentration.
